How to clean rust off of inside of tire near brakes?
How do I do this? If I took it to a PepBoys or something will they do it for me or are there cheaper ways to do it? Thanks
Cleaning wheels and tires can be part of your detailing routine. About every 10,000 miles I take the front wheels OFF the car for a thorough cleaning. Rear wheels accumulate little brake dust.
I agree with taking wheels off for a thorough cleaning...but....if you want something a little faster ...get yourself some (no acidic) wheel cleaner, an a good wheel brush...an do work.....Gl
Are talkin real "rust" or just residue fron the brakes and road gunk?
Don't know where rust would be coming from?
Of course, pull off the wheels, scrub down the tires would be best.
You could always jack up the rear, work on the wheels/tires unser the car.

When you say brake, are you talking about the caliper or the rotor? The caliper is the metal bracket that clamps down and squeezes on the rotor. The rotor is the disk that rotates through the middle of the caliper.
And when you are talking about the part of the wheel (rim), are you talking about the spokes or the interior wall of the wheel? The spokes extend out from the center/hub of the wheel, and the wall is the flat wide portion of the wheel to which the tire is mounted.
