Default Removing a deep scratch from the windshield?

I has a scratch that's about 2 inches long right in front of me. It's not that deep but i can kinda feel it with my finger nail.

I know that it can't be completely removed, but is there any way it can be sanded and buffed or something? Just so it's less noticeable to me. I really don't want to spend $180 on a new windshield just because of a scratch.

You'll need:
buffer
glass cutting pad
CeriGlass
water

windows are hard to scratch, and hard to fix cosmetically.

i recommend taking it to a expert/professional who will charge you reasonable
