Zaino Question.
Well I just ordered my Zaino package, and have a question or two.
I have been using Blue Coral Product X which works great and does a pretty good job at getting rid of swirls ( Black car ). However, it attracts dust like crazy!
So the first question, does Zaino attract dust?? ( Hope not )
Next, How long does the Z5 and or Z2 need to cure with andwithout the ZFX additive?
Thank you for your help, please feel free to add any other advice you'd like

first, because you're going the zaino route(and its an oh so good route) wash the car with dawn to remove the previous wax. Than i would suggest washing with Z7 car wash and then apply Z5 for the first few coats to fill swirls. I would say it takes about 12hrs to cure without the ZFX additive but it depends on the outside temp, but dont be affraid to use ZFX cause it works great. In between waxing, or before and after use Z6 spray and it helps with dust collecting on the car. I use this method, and with my california car duster, dust isnt a big problem. Zaino doesnt attract dust especially with the Z6.
Zaino isn't supposed to attract dust as much as other products but I have found that it still does. It is easier to get rid of however. I just run my California Car Duster over the car each day (takes less than a minute) and you're good for another day. WARNING, this is only for DUST. If the car gets DIRTY, don't do this as it could cause swirls.
My other recommendation would be to clay the car to remove all of your previous product and any debris that could still be there. You will get a better result with Zaino if you start with a clean slate.

If you are using ZFX, depending on the temperature, Z2 or Z5 will dry in less than 30 minutes. Assuming you have a garage, Z2 and Z5 are GREAT when they remain on the "Z" for an extended period ranging from 8, 10 or 12 hours. However, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT add ZFX when using this method!!!
I leave coats of Zaino on the car for 2-3 hours without ZFX. With ZFX, less than 30 mins as sungnam said. I have left coats on the car for up to 18 hours. Honestly I don't see a difference. I might be a very slight bit easier to remove but not much.
In between coats, regardless of what you use, I like to spray a little Z6 on there. It smoothes out the surface, removing anything you might have left on the car (i.e. towel fibers, slight amounts of Z-2 or Z-5 you missed, etc.). I also find that after your last coat of Z-2 or Z-5 it is beneficial to put the Z-6 on. It repels dust and does not allow dirt to affix itself to the car.
If you have a dark car, I would absolutely not recommend the california duster. it still slightly swirls the car if used regularly. I find that the best results come from wiping the dust of using Z-6. Yes I love that stuff.

Jason,
You live in a dusty area, so expect some dust to be on the car. The CA duster will help, but as stated will create some minor swirls. I am experimenting with a Microfiber duster that may help reduce wirls, but I doubt it will eliminate them altogether.
If you need any advice, I am located in San Jose and can easily discuss anything you need.
