Default Brush for wheels

Is there a certain kind of brush that will clean wheels without scratching them?

I have been using a shower brush for several months to reach the deep parts of the wheels. I can't see any signs of scratching so far.

I used Crystal Guard on my wheels. Brake dust & dirt wipes off with a rag. Very easy!

The Oxo Spoke wheel brush adjusts to just about any gap. Side bristles are very soft, tip is sturdy to clean lug nut holes. Works great and a bargain at $7.95, real time saver.

You really aren't supposed to use any kind of brush on your wheels only a rag. Having said that, I still occasionally use a soft bristled brush to clean off the really bad brake dust.

Maybe slapping a towel on to a long brush is the way to go.

I used to use a shower brush to clean the inside of the wheels but only use a wash mitt for the front surfaces.

That's what I do, except I use a rag for the outer areas. I use the brush only on the inside wheel areas.

Oh yea, thats what i also do. I dont need a brush to clean the outside of the wheels, just the hard to reach areas.

If you're using the right cleaner, this brush is awesome. I use Blackfire Gel Wheel and Tire Cleaner, and you don't need to scrub, just agitate the dirt. My wheels are the cleanest you've ever seen!

Yes.. like Bonz stated -- sponges or rags may be best --

BUT... you still have to get the dirt out of the lugnut areas of the wheels.. ..

and this is the brush I use... and it is excellent...

I have an assortment of brushes for wheel cleaning, but thought these where unique. Its a foam-plastic material on the end of a stick. Long enough for 10 inch wheels. From Griots Garage. $15/3.
