Cool DynaShield clear bra is now ready!!

This is by far the best paint protection film kit available for the 350Z.
Advantages over the competition are:

More coverage- DynaShield 350Z hood is cut from 48" stock. XPELL (which I also sell) is cut from 24" stock. When StonGard (which I also sell) comes out, they will have a difficult time wrapping the hood leading edge like they normally do. XPELL did a great job providing as much coverage as they could with the 24" limitation they have. StonGard also has a 24" limitation and will have to provide less coverage if they want to wrap the hood leading edge.

Almost all edges wrap-Exceptions are the seam between the bumper and fender, trailing edge of the hood, trailing edge of the fender, reflector cutout and the Nissan emblem. People who claim that wrapped kits are easier to design and install, have obviously done neither. Take it from someone who manufactures and installs both, wrapped kit are far superior to non wrapped kits. The only question is do you want to pay for it. Non-wrapped kits do however, provide more coverage for the money.

All pieces (except hood) available in 9 mil. or 15 mil. thickness- 15 mil is a better choice for cars that see lots of miles or are raced on a track.

Fenders are one piece- No little triangle above the headlight. Xpell had to do this because of the 24" limitation on the hood.

Trailing edge of the hood and fender is contoured to match the car- No ugly straight line on the hood and fender!

Now for the down side (if you want to call it that). Only the best installers are good enough to install DynaShield full wrap kits. They can be difficult due to the increased size. I highly recommend a professional installer. If you want to do it yourself, I recommend either XPELL or the DynaShield non-wrap kit (available next week).

DEALERS!! Inquires invited. All DynaShield kits are coated with DynaGlide. This is a proprietary lubricant that makes installation much easier. I allows higher squeegee pressure without sticking. this makes for fewer bubbles and a much faster install. It does not harm adhesion. You have to try it to believe it.

I forgot to give the price: $650.00 ($950.00 installed) for the full wrapkit, $500.00 ($650.00 installed) for the non wrap kit, $550.00 ($700.00 installed) for the XPELL kit.

Does the wrap kit cover the entire hood and fenders? Thought it was just the leading edge...

It's big, but not that big. I covers about two inches farther back than Xpel and wraps the sides and front of the hood. the fender also cover about twi inches farther back than Xpel, is one piece, and wraps everywhere but the back and bumper seam.

Doing the entire fender is no problem if you want to pay $$

We are working on our new 100" material. It is suspended between two poles. The faster you drive into it, the more coverage you have. It seems that 78-82 mph works best, so we are negotiating with law enforcement on ticket pricing in how to encorporate it all into one bill.

Is this the non-clearcoated film that looks better on white cars than the 3M film? Thanks!

Default Help in Texas

Mike,

Any input or advice on an installer in Central Texas - I'm in Austin but willing to go to Houston, Dallas, San Antonio if needed to get this done.

Hotlanta is just too far....

btw - you're input on this forum and "just the facts" information has been invaluable. Much appreciated.

Thanks Chris.
All of my contacts are in the east. I would check with Xpel, they have a strong dealer network in TX. Whatever you do, check the installer out first.

Ticket? I don't think I remember seeing a car in Atlanta driving UNDER 78mph on the interstates in ages.

Also, Mike, do you plan on offering any deals/discounts for my350Z members? Also you should really look at meeting with the Georgia Z Car Club and maybe working a deal with them. I know you'd definitely get some business from them.

I like to do car club meets. I have done an occasional guest speaker thing. Can do the world of paint protection or my real area of expertise, the world of advanced composites as it relates to the automobile aftermarket. Did you say GROUP BUY. I'm all over that.

Default I'm in on a group buy...

but I also have a question for Mike or any others with experience with these protective films.

Do you think this material would work well if it was applied behind the wheels?

I've read that the 350Z comes with some film applied in front of the rear wheels. I'm concerned with paint chips behind the wheels (front and rear), but I don't want to install the splash guards since they don't appeal to me, and are probably not very good aerodynamically. Would this film last for awhile, or would it be more likely to peel off, if it was applied behind the wheels?

Do you think that it is a good idea to apply this film behind the wheels? Thanks.

Behind the wheels is one of the best places to use this stuff. I will pattern some pieces on the first 350Z I do without splashgaurds. I here Xpell is also working on some for this area.

Thanks, Mike, I'd buy pieces for behind the wheels, but I don't think I'd do the headlights, sounds like the heat may be a problem. If others have success with headlight applications over time, then I might do them later. Keep us posted on the group buy.
