Default Wash guidelines for new paint job?

I just got a new paint job and was a bit curious about car washing guidelines. The body shop said not to use a wash brush for 30 days (not that I do anyway). But what about cheneille wash mitts and the like? We have had some rain her in the last week and normal touch free soap spray cannot get all the road grime off. Thanks for all the help.

new paint job on your Z or another car?

In any event, use water to wash with microfiber towels. Use an electric leaf blower to dry.

Always use a car wash soap, never just use plain water to wash with, your paint needs the slickness of the soap to encapsulate dirt particles to keep them away from the surface to prevent scratching, you can also never go wrong with an all cotton wash mit, I say far away from a polyester wash mit.
