do you really think a company that has basically been at the forfront of automotive paint care products is really making stuff that damages paint?

If you want a quick shine from just a wash, you might want to try AutoMagic Wash and Wax Concentrate. While in Florida visiting my brother, I tried a wash concentrate he used on his Mercedes. I knew that he was real particular and his car always looked nice, so I decided to try it. At the time he didn't know the brand of the concentrate, but that it had been highly recommended by a neighbor who used it on his 911. I was supprised how much it brought out the metallic shine and the deep blue luster. I ask him to find out from his neighbor the brand of the concentrate. After I got back home he informed me that the concentrate was AutoMagic and that several of the detail shops in the area used it.
Like I said if you want a nice shine with only a wash, you might want to try it.

I NXT the Z and that makes it look great. It takes as long or less time with the NXT that any other regular wax. I use the Wax-as-you-Dry stuff on all the cars whenever I'm at home it's cheap and very easy. As long as you don't let the car dry off before you can wipe it down, it works well. Takes about 2 more minutes than a regular car wash.

Lazy or not you really shouldn't wax your car without clay bar first. I definately agree with NXT. It's been my only wax TOPPER so far this year.

bottom line, no matter what u wax with claybar...claybar...claybar...the only way to get those smooth as glas results is to claybar the car first...wax is wax...polymer or carnuba or whatever...all really useless without the claybar....

You're right as far as claybarring is concerned. Every wax, however, is not the same. NTX has a tendency not to last for more than a few weeks here in the midsouth. Zaino is excellent in my opinion. If you have a free Sunday afternoon, spend it Zaino'ing your car. A buddy of mine has a 96 Toyota Tacoma (original paint) and has several coats of Zaino on. Water still beads well and it's almost 7 months old. I'll post some pics whenever I can get some...

ps..CG seems like a good way to go, but I've seen split opinons on them?! ppl with CG is it worth it? help me out guys thx!

Well, it is not the best shine, but for the absolute quickest wax is probably is soft99 fusso coat 9. It is a sealant and gives a pretty good shine but prep work is still the key. As for the sealant you just wipe it on and walk away. It dries clear. I use it for those areas that seem to accumalate dried wax or for complex shapes like wheels.

Clay bar is the single most important product that you use to prep your car prior to any wax application.

Here's a great write up on clay bar.

When you're done look around this site, you will be amazed what you can learn.

I like the Zaino durability, but like the NXT shine & ease of use. After 1st trying a couple of coats of NXT that wore off in a month, I claybarred the car and now have built up six coats of Z-2 and a coat of Z-5. Over the winter, it'll be too cold to wax outside and quarters are cramped in the garage. NXT is so quick, I can do it outside in 35 deg. weather. Has anyone tried NXT OVER Zaino, either Z-2 or Z-5? Will it strip it? Or should I wait about 5 1/2 months until it warms up again and hope my seven total coats of Zaino last that long?

About the person who had a problem about the petrolium based stuff on wax try Zymol.

I have a bottle in the garage but never tried it on the paint. It works awesome with the glass, but the stuff is based on all natural ingredients. Might want to check it out.
