My car looks great after Zaino (super black) but after a few car washes the spider webbing reappears. So I have put a couple other coats on and it looks better. At some point, will the spider webbing not reappear? How many layers will that take???
Thanks for the feedback - I do appreciate it. Mike

The most common cause of scratches is the use of dirty or low-quality cloths to clean the car. Tell us what you're using to maintain your finish.

I heard spider webbing on this website.... yes i am talking about swirls. I bought Royal Velvet towels, cut off the borders and only use that. I washed them using Sal's guidelines and wash them after each use...

If you have a lot of swirls and you want a perfect finish, find a reputable shop and get a wet-sand. Otherwise, start with 3 or 4 coats of Z5 and you should see major improvement.

Can you "overuse" Zaino? If I put a new coat of Z5 on each week after my weekly wash, will that get to be too much Zaino? Or is that a way to keep the finish looking great for as long as I own the car?

I don't know if you can overuse Zaino, but you can abuse Zaino. Here's a pic of one of the worst offenders, caught in the act:

When I put mine on I went to the Zaino website first and I missed understood it for appling it from front to back on all top surfaces, and side to side on all bottom surfaces. So I applied it from fender to fender. All the lines follow the same direction and it looks good to me.

I would say you are the master of Zaino to me. Your car's pics are the best looking out of all the pics on the forum. I don't care what anyone says, you seem to take care of your car the best out of the whole forum.

If it was hard to do in any way, it probably wasn't done curing on the paint.

Swirls are physical scratches in the clearcoat. The only way of actually removing them is to use abrasives (for example wet-sanding) to re-smooth the surface. Swirl-removers like Zaino Z5 can fill the swirls and make them less visible, but they require multiple coats to fill the scratches and leave you with a smooth surface, and they will eventually wear out and require more coats as they age.

Polishers/buffers with the incorrect pad or an untrained operator
Harsh polishing compounds and paint cleaners
Towels and applicators containing polyester threads
A dirty chamois or a chamois that has not been properly maintained
Wiping down a dusty or dirty car with a dry towel
A dirty car duster or a car duster used on a car with too much dirt on the surface
Not keeping your wash mitt or sponge properly rinsed
Automated car washes with brushes and other wipers
Not rinsing your car completely before washing, or not washing your car thoroughly before drying
Using a car cover when the car or the cover is not clean"
try a true polish before going the wetsanding route...

"Swirl marks can be removed by polishing. Polishing out swirl marks without a buffer is a lot of work. I recommend polishing your car one small section at a time so you can see the progress.
To remove swirl marks, use a good medium cut polish. Many polish manufacturers market a special polish for removing swirls. Swirl remover polish formulas typically contain fillers and oils to help hide swirl marks. Over time, with regular polishing, swirl marks will diminish. It's very difficult to completely remove swirl marks. Even the best towels and wash tools cause some micro-marring. "

With the ZFX added, you can usually take it off in under an hour.
I usually do one or two layers WITH ZFX and put on the last layer of Z-2 WITHOUT ZFX and let it sit overnight in the garage and take it off in the AM.
