Default Tire dressing

What does it mean when a tire dressing is said to "sling" which is bad I assume. Does it mean that the tire dressing comes off when you drive?

Yep, the good tire gel/gloss should be non-sling which means it won't get on your car when you drive.

When you start to drive, you dont want the dressing to fly off of your tire.

The rule of thumb is the higher the gloss, the more it will sling....

I have been using the tire dressing from TurtleWax, that green bottle. So far it has been good, I like it a lot.

Does anyone has any other suggestions.

I use Meguiars Endurance Gel. No sling and it lasts a couple of weeks - even after washing the car.

Thumbs up

303 Aerospace Protectant is UNLIKE ANYTHING you've ever seen!

This produces a sweet look - no sling and a nice shine.. not to mention the uv protection... I use it on everything...

Whichever dressing you use, go over the tire with a rag or similar to remove excess dressing, and also go over your wheels with a microfiber and some detailer to remove any overspray otherwise the brake dust will stick to the wheel.
