Finally, I tried it Crystal Guard
Everyone my car looks great. I have a super black 04' and was scared to death to put Crystal Guard on. I was so skeptical, but I had some money to blow so I thought why not... I bought the starter kit it had the primer, top coat, crystal guard, cg quick, cg wash, and microfiber towel and something else can't remeber what... Anyways I used there spring coupon deal and it was like $120.00.
So kind of pricey in my opinion. If I had to do it over again I would have just bought the CG Quick. I haven't tried the other stuff yet it is suppose to be stronger or actually contain more glass polymers something to that effect. I just did the cg quick and was very impressed. It was so easy. I used two coats of cg quick and man it looked like I waxed my car with gloss.
What happens is after you have applied it and dried your car with a chamois the cg forms kind of a powerdery dustlike particle on top maybe even like a glaze of some sort. Well I just buffed it off real real real lightly with a terry cloth towel.... The reason I buffed so lightly was I was scared to death of scratching my car! But I buffed it down and no swirl marks or anything. It was great. I will add pics as soon as I get my camera back. You don't have to buff the whole car either its just where some of the cg has built up. Areas where I applied to much CG quick.
I was using Meguiars Pro Gold and that stuff is pretty good but I get better results with CG quick and it is easier.
I read one of these threads from another person and it sounded like an infommercial I know why now

I just used the CG quick last week for the first time and my SB looked great!!! It has rained the last couple of days though and I noticed I had kind of a greasy film on the front bumper and on my windshield. It wipes right off but I'm not sure if it was from the CG or not.
I thought I buffed the car fairly well.........maybe I just didn't get the bumper as good as I thought.
Has anyone else noticed the same?
