Quick Question re: Zaino Process
So here is what I have done so far:
1. Wash with Zaino Car Wash
2. Zaino Claybar
3. Wash with Dawn
4. 3M Swirl Mark Remover
5. ?
What do I do now? Obviously the next step is to apply Z-5, but should I do anything before that? Should I wash and then apply Z-5? Should I use Z-6 and then apply Z-5 without washing? Or should I go straight to Z-5?
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

1. Wash with Dawn
2. Zaino Claybar with using Z7 / Water for lube
3. I then wash with Z7. Some would skip, just rinse and dry as
Z7 / water was used as lube
4. Z6
5. Z5 with "ZFX".
6. Remove Z5.
7. Z6
8. Z5 with "ZFX"
9. Remove Z5
10. Z6
11. Z2 with "ZFX"
12. Remove Z2
13. Z6
14. "Beverage of your choice while admiring!"
Note: Don't know if you have swirls. You can go back and add Z5 at anytime. I usually apply a coat of Z5 with every 3-4 coats of Z2. Also, try this! If you have a garage, apply either Z5 or Z2 without, I repeat without "ZFX" and let it dry for 8-10 hours. Then remove and apply Z6. "WOW!"

While some steps were out of sequence, you are Ok just wasted some product. Not that familar with 3M, so not sure where it fits into the program. Perhaps someone can jump in, but:

I use 2,5, and 6, 6 to remove any left over product. I have 20+ coats and scratches are disappearing, and my garage is lighted like times square. In real sunlight cant see ANY scratches. The shine on my SB is amazing, and it does get better with multiple coats. I too was skeptical when I first heard of the product, but seeing is believing. I dont drive my car in the rain so it doesnt get too dirty, just a Cali duster and Z6 and Im ready for another coat. Takes me about 15 min to remove one coat and apply another. Cleaning the car is the only real work.
This is what I did the first time:
1 wash with dawn to get rid of any wax. open first beer.
2 use the claybar with the the carwash ( a capful or two) & water in a spray bottle as a lube. Dont skimp on the lube or you may scratch your paint. second beer.
3 wash with Zaino car wash, dry
4 use the detail spray all over and immediately wipe off with an all cotton towel. do small sections at a time. third beer.
5 use the Z2 with ZFX. apply in verticle lines as opposed to round ones (like with wax)
6 let dry . fourth beer. fifth beer.
7 use the detail spray all over again to remove
8 repeat as many times as you want.
The first time takes a good 4-5 hours depending on how many coats you want. But by this time you are buzzing from the beer so it doesnt matter as much.
The other times don't take quite as long.
After the first time you dont have to use the clay bar every time.
You can email Sal Zaino at info@zainobros.com , I did several times and he got right back to me.
