hey guys.

I was just wondering what I should use to clean my headlight covers. I don't want to scratch them or cause them to dull prematurely. Those badboys cost about $320 a piece.

My brother said it was safe to wax them, but I don't trust his crazy a$$.

I need to get the bug residue off of them too.

Any information would be great.

 

Basically you can use anything you can use on clearcoat. I wax mine, it helps to keep the bug residue from building up. I even rain-x'd them once. Basically just wash them how you wash the rest of your car.

i wash them with my car soap when im detailing the car to keep contaminants from building up on them, then i use meguiers plastic polish on mine once a month. this stuff works great, really makes it shine like glass!

i just wash them as i do to my car. i didn't really know there was plastic polish. will it leave swirl marks?

when i dry my light covers, i wipe them up and down very lightly.
