Question Lifespan of microfiber towels?

I'm currently using the DFT microfiber towels to apply and remove all of my Zaino products (Z-2, Z-5 and Z-6). How long are these towels supposed to last? I have noticed that they don't feel quite as soft as they used to.

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm not sure to be honest with you. I have been using mine for about 6 months and they still are extremely soft.

Have you washed them? If so, did you use powdered detergent? That may make them feel less soft. Also, you aren't suppose to use fabric softener when you wash/dry them.

You may want to e-mail Leo at dftowel.com I'm sure he'll be able to help you.

I wash them after every use with liquid detergent, no bleach, no fabric softeners. It might just be my imagination that they feel less soft. I will send an email to Leo and get his thoughts.

Hardness of your water will effect the 'softness' of the cloth. The greater the number of washings in hard water, the less soft the cloth will be., accumulated minerals and soap residues.

Might try final rinsing the cloth in distilled water repeatedly untill the water is clear.

i've been washing mines after every use for a year now. I use liquid Tide or Costco, spray water in a bucket and dump my towels in there. let it soak over night and rinse it very well the next day and hang dry it. It is starting to feel less softer than my semi-new towels, but it still works like a champ. i'll probably switch them out after another year or use it as my window towel
