HELP! Water spots won't go away!
Dear fellow Z lovers,
I don't know what was in the sprinklers that I parked next to, but the water spots they left overnight will not come off! Next morning, I tried removing the water spots, but NOTHING will get them out! I tried windex, stoner, vinegar, alcohol, nail polish remover, some other crazy sh*t, etc. NOTHING works! Is there anything else I can use, or is a professional detailer my last resort? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

you need to use a semi aggressive polish now. the contaminated water has eaten into your clear coat. a swirl remover type polish should work. i suggest doing this: claybar the surface, then use a good paint cleaner, then a(swirl remover type)polsh & finally a good coat or two of some good wax to prevent this from happening in the future. i recommend just about all/any Mothers or Meguiers products for the task. they are all affordable & found at just about all auto parts houses as well as doing a very good job. there are certainly better more expensive products but that depends on you. im no professional but i have recently used this method with amaizing results......good luck!
I am so sorry for not mentioning this before, but the water spots are on my WINDOWS. Luckily, i got the spots off the paint, but the spots on the windows will not come off. Thanks for the detailed reply though. Any suggestions for the windows?

Have you tried a claybar? It might help.
There is a polish made especially for glass that works wonders. The stuff I have is called BioClean Hard Water Stain Remover. I got it from a local glass/windshield shop years ago for my Maxima. Made it's 10 year old windows look and feel like new. Warning, it does take some elbow-grease to polish all the windows.

Thanks for all your input guys. Im gonna go buy a clay bar and some of that window polish along with some #0000 steel wool tomorrow... and along the way, I'm gonna finally pick up my VOLK SF Challenges tomorrow! I'll post up pics once I get them on.

just to note, the #0000 steel wool will not harm your glass ive used it for years to get perfectly looking clean windows with no harsh results. i actually got the idea from a bodyshop years ago.........im sure the recommended polishes for windows are better though..........
