remove a/c knobs
Does anyone know how to remove the A/C *****? I spilled some sweet tea and it ran down by the ****. It is the last ****. The one that turns A/C on and off. The one by the drink holder. I tried using a Q tip but cant get all the way inside. When I try to turn it on I can feel it catch a little like it is sticky inside. Any help or suggestions. Thanks. And yes I know I shouldnt have any drinks in the car......
Lift the console by the plastic that surrounds the area at the rear of the shifter (close to the change compartment). Lift up from there as if to go through procedure to remove the shift **** (without removing it, of course) and you'll gain access to the area you're referring to. You can detach the controls by pressing the white clip that holds the console the the controls ribbon. In order to remove that part of the console entirely (say, out of your car), you'll need to remove the shift ****. But to clean that area you're referring to, you should be fine just leaving it in
From there, you can better assess if the A/C **** can come off easily (or with some work)

I figured out what little compartment you are talking about to remove. But how do I remove it without scratching or tearing it up? Any suggestions. Thanks for the help so far.
As recommended by the Nismo shift **** instructions: use a thin flat-head screwdriver with some electrical (or duct, IMO) tape over the head. I personally might try to find a good (thin) putty knife with tape on the head, but I've found myself actually using my nails to remove the console the last few times that I removed it
