Default Big Blue Towel

No question the BBT is great. I've looked at the water blade and am afraid of sand or grit that might get under the blade and make a nice hairline scratch on the surface. In Florida, if the wind is blowing, it can be a problem.

I second Brad, the Big Blue is killer! Better than the absorber by far. I through out all my drying towels after I used the big blue once!

Is it only available at properautocare.com?

I think that site is a little pricey. I have found same products they offer at Pepboys, but for 22% less. But, haven't found a Big Blue anywhere else yet.

That's the only place I know of to get it. It's a special microfiber waffle weave thta really soaks up the water.

Really Worth it!!!!

I also posted a 10% coupon that will help out.

Bummer, they ran out of towels.

"Today we ran out of Big Blue Towels. Unfortunately due to the West Coast Dock Strike, we don't expect to get any more in until the end of November. I'm sorry. We are going to cancel your order, and ask you to reorder at the end of November. Thanks again"

Scroll down to see it...

There are other places selling something similar (waffle weave microfiber towel). Try searching Google.

I've ordered one of these, since properautocare was out of Big Blue.

I took a look at those towels, but are they for drying? My BBT isn't like the other MF towels I have. They call the BBT a waffle weave, and it looks much different than the "cleaning" MF towels I have. I don't think my others will soak up water.

Scafremon, let us know how they work for you.

Good Luck...

I bought the waffle micro-fiber drying towel from Griots. It works pretty good and I like the smaller size then Big Blue. I have noticed though that it already has a couple of tears on the edges from wringing it out.

Do not wring it out. Have more than one, or a big blue and little blue. One big Blue dries my entire Z. Hang on the line to dry.

I think you are right, in that these mf towels are not for drying. I thought they were, but even the contact at the website says he uses an Absorber for the main drying of his car, then a MF towel for final wipe down.

Actually it's a chamois not a towel (wrong terminology).

looking at the 'waffle' pattern of the big blue towel, it doesn't look as soft as a loop/plush pattern would....

is this mainly for 'absorbing' or is it soft enough to wipe down with as well?

has anyone tried this one, it looks plush...

I've tried the microfiber towels for removing polish and it seemed to drag more then a good terry cloth. Never seen them used for actually drying a car.

that's what i'm thinking to... not good to wipe a surface with something that flat... but i've never used this big blue towel thing, so I'm wondering if you just sorta blot the water up with it?

anyone used it on a black car??
