Default Scratched my rear strut centerpiece, anyway to fix?

I'm sure there isn't but I figured can't hurt to ask. I put a descent scratch on the silver part of the strut bar thing in the trunk with the Z logo on it, is there anyway to get a scratch out of that? If not does anyone know of a place to get a replacement piece other than the dealership (cost about $80 from the dealer)? Thanks for the advice.

Steven

I've got d same problem due to careless transport of some 2x4s. Can try spot paint fix. I'm considering that new spray-on chrome for this and my kickplates (bling!).
Maybe Jason from Performance Nissan still has his. He was selling lots of stock parts
from his car.

This is a tough one.
Since the metal is gouged a bit, the only way to get this out is to wear down the metal.
This means a lot of hand work with 3000 grit wet or dry paper, a lot of water, then a bit of time with a motor tool (not a Dremel- too fast) and some rouge.
I think with a lot of patience, you could recover it, but I'll bet that the $80 would be well spent.... good luck either way

www.jerryromenissan.com They have every part for the 350Z inside and out. They will have it, you'll just have to dig for it. They are also a dealership but have nissan parts online. You'll be able to get it cheaper there then you will at a dealership.

Lightbulb Carbon Fiber Rear Strut Bar Cover

Maybe the carbon fiber rear strut bar cover is an option. It's more expensive tham stock replacement - around $120. But it may hold up better then stock . . . scratching etc. You can purchase from the Z Store.

Just a thought
