Default dark orange spots on car

The past month, I have been getting dark orange spots on my car. It appears to be bird crap. I described it to Sal Zaino and he said it sounds like Crow droppings.

The problem is that they are leaving a faint orange stain on my paint once the top layer "crust" is removed. Any ideas?

Sal suggested 3m swirl remover. It worked to dull the stain. But it is still visible. Also, from an angle it appears as if this crap has eaten through the paint. I'm not leaving it on there long at all.
thanks

I had the same thing or something similar about two weeks ago. I claybar'd it and it left an etched spot on my bumper. I then used the 3M Swirl Mark remover and some 3M glaze to polish it up. Topped it off with Zaino and couldn't tell it ever happened.

I got orange and yellow stains from bugs when I was in CA. I couldn't get them off with anything, but they did fade away after a couple of weeks. Just another possibility.

If you look at an angle, you can see where it penetrated the paint. Kind of sucks. The claybar + 3m does make it less noticeable. The only bad part about summer.
Thanks guys
