Default just reached 1k is clay bar too early?

just reached over 1k on my Z. I was wondering if clay bar is way too early ?

I've been using Mequiar's gold wax, but still have these really small gritty spots on the car.

Anything else you would recommend? How about the cleaner wax ?

thanks!

It's NEVER too early. I did mine four days after I picked up the car. Look how much junk I got off the car that soon. It's a long trip from Japan to your garage!

Meguiars gold is a cleaner wax, there is no sense in waxing over paint contamination, go ahead and clay it now...

You should use a polish before you use a wax.

I think im going to clay tomorrow too...

Whats the best way to clay? without scratching my Z?

The steps i think..

1) wash with Dawn, rinse leave car wet, pull it into the garage lube the clay bar and work the clay...

2) wash with NXT soap, dry well.

3)wax with NXT

done???? let me know if im missing anything or any tips..

Thanks
