Everyone eventually gets some. No matter how careful I wash mine, some small ones eventually show up. A little Zaino Z-5 every couple of months takes care of that.

If it gets bad enough, 3M Swirl Mark Remover and a Porter-Cable ROB will take care of them.

The only towels I would recommend for drying or applying "zaino stuff" would be "Big Blue" from www.pakshak.com and from www.dftowel.com

There is a difference in swirl marks and the circular marks you see on a dark color in the sun's direct reflection. To me swirl marks are usually caused by a bad buff job, the circular looking scratches you see in the sun's reflection are pretty normal no matter what kind of paint you have or how you treat it.....

Kevin,
The marks i have are what you described.
Marks you can see in the sun light that are circular like.
What happened to cause that?

It does not really need a cause, once clear coat is touched by human hands in most any way it will scratch slightly, that is just how soft today's clear coats are. Your best bet is to minimize these tiny scratches by using a polish like the Z-5 that is made to fill these tiny imperfections and often use of Z-6 helps out a lot also.

Good info; I was wondering about this. My Brick has a bunch of swirl marks (only in direct sun) & I was surprised. Though not fanatical I have been careful.

It does make one wonder.
Ive been very very careful as i stated and then when i looked at my car in the sun i seen those marks.
I like to have ****.
My car only has 1k miles on it and has been washed and cleaned with the best.
Good info.
My next thing is I want to know how to bring depth to my Zs paint.
It is really reflective now but i want it to be deeep.
Any ideas?

I beg to differ. I don't have any. I think it's because the dealer never washed my car; I made him agree to that when I ordered it.

I do have a few of the inevitable light scratches, though. I think some of them might even be from windblown debris. As stated before, Z5 keeps them under control pretty well.

I understand that, but Kevin said the circular scratches are normal and I have discovered that they aren't.
