You do not need a cage, but it makes mounting easier, because you can mount directly to that instead of making mounts.

Might help your sale to mention how much the jacks and lines weigh. Just sayin'.

 

I will check on the weight. Out of all the people I have talked with that were interested not one of them even asked how much they weighed so never thought about it. This is typically not one of those items that people try and find the lightest one because there really isnt many other companies or lighter products out there. So if you want it you want it and weight doesnt matter.

Off hand I think it is about 20 pounds though. I will look into it when I get back home.
