It’s coming along slowly but surely. On Wednesday night (26 Jan 05) I was able to pull off a few 13.5’s when I got my 60’ time down to just over 2.0. The best 60’ I could get was 2.07 which I am completely happy with since I am doing it with street tires (no ET’s or DR’s).
My hopes are to get that Z down into the very low 13’s on street tires. If I can do this, I am pretty much guaranteed some good times in the 12’s when I use ET’s or some other type of DR.
I had two other friends out there with their Zs that night and it was a lot of fun. My buddy (a regular on my350z) and I got a chance each to race a new M3. I think they are quick, but definitely not untouchable like everyone seems to portray when I read about them on this forum. However for a completely stock car, he was holding his own.
One of my other friends was running ETs on his Z that night and pulling 1.8 60’ times. I figure that with that type of 60’ time, I would be in the area of 13.0 to 13.1. As it has been explained to me several times, a drop of a tenth at 60’ equals more than a tenth at the end. So if I can shave two to three more tenths off of my 60’ time, I could run a 12 by the skin of my teeth. Of course, Sean in Austin has already done this and has proven that our cars are capable of running 12’s with bolt ons provided you launch them right.

I ran a 13.8@104.1 at Epping in New Hampshire. It was 90 degress out and I was running bald tires. I have an Injen Cai, Stillen Exhaust I ran a 2.2 which was with no launch due to bald tires so trapping out at 104 would lead me to believe, with new tires a possible 13.4 or 13.5 could be attainable does that sound right?
