12.7 NA, no power adders
that was my point. Every track is different and unless you can have him reproduce the same times on other tracks I am not assuming that he's the god of Z's
Only issue is that his times are almost a second better than quite a few people on this board and others with the same or better mods and more driving experience (based on his statement). That's what leads me to assume that his track is not NHRA certified or at least has the sensors set up wrong.
But no matter what they are still good runs

also Cecil is a little too far away from my house i dont wanna drive for an hour on slicks on the highway, and MIR is the same its an hour away and i personally dont like racing there because i never get any cool down time in between my runs, and i end up overheating and running really sloppy. Capitol is NHRA certified, they are listed on the NHRA website, its the first one under Maryland. NHRA Mid-Atlantic Race Tracks

that 60 is pretty rediculous. hell, i have gone went 12.7 at 107 on a 2.0-1 when my tires were gone and traction was nonexistant.
with a 1.5 the car should have been 12.4-12.5 with good driving,
i still say get some gears so you can cut those 60s over and over if your track preps that well.

The only reason I brought up Cecil is because people tend to run a tenth or two faster there then at Capitol. It would be interesting to see if he could dip even lower then the 12.7!
After 4 launches on slicks (I know not that much) I am pretty confident that my negative 2.2 degrees rear camber and stiff as $hit JIC coilovers are keeping me from 1.7 60 ft's which is what I need for 12's. My 1 launch recently at Cecil I launched hard as hell, and I only went a 1.86 60ft

I think a 1.57 60' is believable, extremely rare, but believable. There are 95-99 Maximas with VQ35 swaps pulling low 1.7 60 foots on 26" slicks with 220whp. If a FWD car with an open diff can pull lower 1.7 60 foots in slicks, I think it's possible a RWD car with a slightly better power to weight ratio could plant a slightly better 60 foot. Could the run be duplicated? Doubtful, but he has the slip and multiple runs showing decent consistentcy. Like someone mentioned before, sometimes a miracle run just happens. The car hooks perfect and the run is perfect. Capital is a decently quick track too.

i have to agree with you bert, the 1.5 60 foot run WAS freakishly good and when i repeated what i did the next two runs i ran two 12.9's. Im gonna go back later in the year and try again and hope to head there earlier in the day so i can get more runs. The only thing is i cant get out of work early on fridays so ill se what i can do. And further i have to agree it was all in the launch on that 12.7 run, it never bogged down like the other 12.9 runs, i think as long as i dont get the slicks too sticky like they were the later runs ill be able to launch without bogging towards the end of 1st gear when i gain traction.

Maybe the track goes downhill or the sensors are not aligned right...I have no idea but 12.7 with a 1.5 60' at only a little over 100mph... and the mods that he has on a certified NHRA track...I don't see it. Note his buddies running 12's on that track as well...He also says he's not an experienced driver...
Come out to CaliSpeedway and those times are probably 13.3 at best...
I'm not hating but it just makes no sense

Don't know about Cali, but like the other ppl said capitol is not the best track around here by far. It's not the worst, but definitely not a 'fast' track. In general people tend to run very average times at capitol.
