Default Used a G-Tech On My car last night

I used my friends G-TECH Pro to see what I run in the quarter mile. I only have a nismo exhaust, my Popcharger is on backorder. I had my spare tire and everything that would normally be in the car. I also had a passenger. Here's my results......

1st run, 14.85
2nd run 14.78
3rd run 14.60

is 14.6 a good number for a basically stock Z? I think I can still improve to 14.5 or under. will the spare tire and not having a passenger make a big difference? Where should I start as far as performance parts go? I'd like to get out of the 14sec range and run consistent high 13's.

not at all at the track. You will not get accurate readings, you'd need to have the exact weight at the time for example. Wind conditions and the track levels itself all influence this.
I have the Gtech myself, I use it as a shiftlight and to analyze my shiftpoints, for that it's great...but not for 1/4 mile analysis.

Your times also heavily depend on the track you're at...in general with the limited mods you got you should be running about 14.2 with some practise.

Pop charger, exhaust and plenum will get you into the 13's with lots of practise and a good set off DR tires will get your there even sooner.

Stay away from 19" wheels, they are ugly and slow you down, the smaller the wheel the faster you'll be. I would not ever go higher than 18" on a Z and get light tires. The lighter you are the faster you are...
hope this helps a bit

You should be around 14 flat on a bone stock Z. The passenger makes a *little* difference, but none of the other things you mentioned do.

6spd or auto? What are you shifting at?

Weight reduction makes a HUGE difference, track, air density, temperature, wind, tire pressure, tires, shifting....all those make HUGE differences.

I ran 14.03 at Calispeedway stock but with Slicks, every single other stock Z I have seen there has run 14.4 best...why? Because the elevation is up there, there is a strong head wind and traction ain't good...

bottomline: a stock Z will not run 14 flat unless lots of conditions are met
