people with T-netics run from 12.4 to 12.8 is not using DRs. I ran 12.7 on 18s street tires trapping at 113 mph. With DRs I think will be in the high 11s. But I think your car with traction will be in the mid 11s easily.

There is no point to do a huge burnout with street tires....just wasting your tires.....a little on like I did to get any water off them and warm them up a bit is all you really can do...

Yea see my 60ft's were 2.2 and 2.3... they say every .1 on a 60ft equals to 2-3 tenths off quarter mile time depending on your power... so use that any figure out our times with an 1.5 or 1.6 60 ft...= baddass times for us get a new clutch and your times will go down even more...

Nice vid, Bigbri I like the center exit exhaust, sounds mean. In the race with the 2 Z's who's Z is it that I hear going down the track? Who runs 13's and who goes 14.5 I think it was?

Thanks ...my exhaust is loud as hell and it sounds mean... The z on the right is the one that runs 13.8 at 101... they both have only intake and exhaust so you probally hear them both....

I am down to go again, its getting alot cooler, and darker sooner, if it doesnt rain, this week should be perfect....I really think low 11's is possible Bry, I would ask Alberto on some advice on how to get those new tires warm and in prime condition. That day was a lot of fun though

Sick car Bri...looks like you definately have traction issues with that beast lol. You're set up the way it is, can't be good for much more than a high 11 second run imo, and that's if you're doing everything right behind the wheel. I'm not sure what day these videos were taking, but if you're looking to get some good E.T's at Sac, you definatley need to go on a Friday, and not on Wednesday night bracket racing. Track prep on Fridays is 10x's better, because all the fast cars are out there going for 8 second slips. As far as tires go, the bigger the sidewall the better in your case. The BFG DR's are probably the most popular. The MT DR's are probably the stickiest DR, although I'm not sure if they make them in the sizes you're looking for.

To me it seems like a lot of these high hp Z need much longer gears than what is given stock. With the amount of torque a Twin Turbo VQ can make, the stock gearing is less than ideal, not to mention turbochargers like a longer gear to build boost against a load. Something around a 3.0 rear end would work awesome, but the 3.3 out of the AT is the lowest I'm aware of. I plan on doing a TT set up eventually with at least 500whp, and to me gearing is going to be critical in putting down any power. I come from the vette crowd, where if you put down 500whp you better be in the 10's lol. I understand these cars aren't meant for drag racing, but it seems like there are too many dyno queens around here. Sorry to ramble on haha...

Thanks bro....I was actually thinkin about changing the rear end.....something that would let me get about 10mph extra in each gear would be perfect...3.0 sounds good.....I need to get some tires with grip...And your right the track prep on wed was ****....I felt like I was on wet ground.. I get 3 times more grip on the street....

Hey bri,

Your car really hauled *** in the 1/8th. I think your car can do "low" 11's. I don't think you will hit it for a while tho. I do think you will get 11's tho. Its not as easy as it seems.

As far as your runs, as G352nv said, don't bother going to the strip with street tires. No traction what so ever. But, if you do, lower your tire pressure to 24-20psi otherwise you will get no traction. You should definitely get lower times once doing that.

Hitting a 1.5 -1.6 60ft is gonna take some practice, and a long burnout. I don't think its possible more like a 1.760ft. Get the 265/40/18 BFG Dr. It hooks up great. I got a 1.77 60ft and it hooks fine.

Dont trip about these people that think oh its got 500hp now it will fly. Its not any easier than hitting low 13's stock. Its all finess, something you will hopefully master soon, im still trying, its friggen hard. I should of ran an 11 a long time ago.

Why, does the exhaust sound familiar? That 13 sec car has the Injen angled. The 14 sec car has a custom exhaust using Megan Racing mufflers. I agree with 03screamer, Sac raceway is NOT prepped on wednesday. Thats why traction is such an issue for some folks. If G352NV and Bigbri are gonna race, I'll be more than happy to film

Brian, get the taller sidewall. 10mm in contact patch will not help as much as an increase of 5%+/- in sidewall.
