Default 11's possibly on my tires?

Just went to the strip for the first time this weekend and ran a 12.384@116.49. I know my car can run 11's if I ran DR's, but not sure if the tires I have on now can do it. I ran a 2.123 60ft time on my BFG KDW-2's.

that's hard to say. with that much power you're probably spinning well into 2nd am i right? i'm sure if you ride the clutch through 1st and 2nd you could possibly cut that 60 ft. down a bit and prevent spinning in 2nd. i would just pick up some DR's, it'd be easier on your clutch. Nitto555R's are extremely nice.

- Thanks for posting a time slip. Much appreciated. Excellent ET. I can see a possible 12.2 seconds on street tires. And you’re looking for 11.99 seconds on drag radials? I think that’s pushing it but who knows.

I think your pretty much maxed out with that time on Street Tires. The best i ran was a 12.4 on Street tires. If everything goes right, and from your time slip I think a 11.70 is probably the best with your current setup and DR's.

Thanks I kinda figured the answer, but figured I would ask. I bet I could squeeze out a slightly fast 60ft time though. Maybe high 2.0's.

11's on your tires now? I would say no. Aim for a low 2.0 60ft, and around a 12.1....

Another NO.

With my street radials, my best time is...

60' 1.948
1/8 7.936@92.4
1/4 12.1@117.7

You might be able to get ~12.1 or so with 1.9xx short time.

On a side note: with your power, I would think you'd have bit higher trap speed. Just wondering.

Since we are on the subject. Where is a good site to check out tires. I tried tirerack.com but it was a little confusing for me.

That always works, but not happening at this point. Maybe when I get some tires that can hand that power and some more money incase I damage the motor
