you think it'll be a 14.2? I got a buddy at Moroso running 19s who ran a 13.7 with a pop charger.

I figure with a 2.0-2.1 60' I can break mid-upper 13s.

it all depends on u my friend. i doubt you will get mid 13's though.

try getting a set of DR's or slicks if you are serious about dragging, will help more than any of the na power mods you can do.

You asked for an opinion, Powertrip gave you his. BTW, 13.8 IS upper 13's.

I'm with Powertrip. Now go prove us wrong !

Is this a contest like The Price is Right? Closest to the best ET wins, but you can't go less.

I'm really disappointed in myself. Anyways, my first time at the track A) with RWD, and B) in my Z.

here's the deal. I ran with everything in. Spare, tools, etc. Tire pressure at 32-33psi. Didn't screw with that yet.

Only got three runs in, it was ridiculous. First run, forgot to turn TCS off. DOH!

2nd run:

r/t .050
60' 2.066
1/8 et 9.158 @ 78.20mph
1/4 et 14.105
trap 98.67

3rd run, spun off the line. Trap was better, ET was worse, 60' was worse. I know it's capable of 13s, I just need to get out there and practice.

r/t .063
60' 2.141
1/8 et 9.185 @ 79.72mph
1/4 et 14.141
1/4 trap 99.66mph

Tips? I'm really disappointed in myself.

Ok your 60ft's are good. Def good enough to go 13.80's with, your 2.0 60ft should have been a 13.6 @ least with your mods. Here is my advice judging your times by your slips, dont take this the wrong way. Work on your shifting some(speed!).

Comparing your 2nd run with my best stock run we have the same 60ft's, by 1/8 your .3 behind and 1mph down, and by 1/4 your .4 down and 3mph down. Your launches seem decent, it has to be the shifting-your e.t.s and trap speeds show it. Now keep practicing, and you'll improve BTW. next time take out the spare/jack and run with 1/8 tank of gas.

Not bad. gotta second what alberto said. your 60' is nice, but you werent getting it into gear fast enough.
next time drop the tire pressure to at least the mid 20's psi. it helps a lot.

so i was about .05-.1 off and 1mph too high...close enough. better luck next time.

yeah the shifting was fairly quick, I just have this tendency to miss second if I go too hard....so I was trying to be careful, but quick, on the 1-2 shift.

I'd like to get under 2 for the 60' and figure that'll help a lot....but it just seems like it runs out of steam up top. I was at least hoping for a 100mph trap.

Next time I'm definitely taking out the spare tire and possibly even the passenger seat and whatever else I can grab.

FYI-dont know if this goes for spacers, but it def goes for CAI and the Crawford plenum. MY car ran like $hit with a CAI and Crawford, I swapped to a Pop-charger and gained 10whp over the Nismo. Something about to much turbulence in the intake stream from such a long pipe (CAI)-others have had simialr experiences with dyno;s and track times. Your car is running out of steam bad it seems, you should be well over 100mph, maybe something to think about.

yeah I still have the pop charger in the garage. I might throw that on...not sure.

I'm doin the turbonetics think like you later this spring but I'd really like to crack 13s before that happens.

I have no idea about temperature, humidity or barometric pressure, but think you deserve a pat on the back for 2.0 second 60 foot time. Good work.

twas in the low 70s, but the humidity was high and it was foggy....typical FL weather.

I think the 60' could've been better on that run, too, as it just really hooked but I let off the gas a little due to fwd habit before I floored it again.
