It's really pretty simple, I couldnt get traction and you could. Why wouldnt you just roll with me? Thats annoying man.

Woah man woah man, that's not what I was saying. I'm saying 6MT with more whp/wtq > 5AT with less whp/wtq...its like 100% you'd beat me from a roll. A dig is the only thing I have a chance from because I can launch on the street very well in most cases. That's my only weapon...I wasn't saying you wouldn't race...if anything I'm saying I backed down from the roll. I just prefer digs because A.) its my strong point and B.) it measures driver and vehicle. No hard feelings man, all good?

without knowing who I am and how old I am, I'd be more careful with my language if I were you. I didn't insult you in anyway, I just asked you to be more respectful.

Thanks for your mature comments.

Yeah whatever big guy. I told him from the start I wasnt bashing him, I simply said there was room for improvement! Then you jump all over me like your an enforcer or something, mind your own business. It is perfectly ok for me to voice my opinion If I feel the need to do so. Fact what I run in the quarter mile is NOT what this thread is about. It is about the thread starters 1/4 time... Do a little more reading 13.6 is within a couple tenths of what stock zs are doing. So, after knowing that fact a 13.6 out of his modded z isn't really impressive. Thats all I was saying, I'm not being an *** I'm just being honest. If you wanna lick his a$$ and give him an "adda boy" for a not so good time, that's you're choice. Buddy, I don't give a F*ck how old you are..

JG,

I apologize if I came off harsh.. I was just saying I think you can do alot better. If you get rid of the 19's and slap some stock wheels on with some radials you should be able to go 13.3-13.4.. Again I didn't mean to come of like an A$$.

Pretty good. I could only hit a 14.01 @100 on my 19's and about the same mods.

I have few bolt ons, but have not yet made a pass at the track. I will let you know though when I do.
i've been to the track tons of times and never seen stock Z's run anything under 14's.....

my best is 14.323

http://www.caranddriver.com/article....rticle_id=3967

0-60 in 5.4 seconds
1/4 mile in 14.1 @ 101

Now how are you guys goin to tell me that you can drive better than the professional drivers that test all the new cars. Give me a break and swallow your pride.

Your a moron. They are writers first, "professional" drivers second, keep that in mind. Also keep in mind the fact that they dont always test at drag strips, just wherever they can, it can account for not so great conditions. Also look at seat time. They may get a few days at best to run good times and learn th ecar, most owners get way more than that before they run. I ran 13.77@101.4 over 2.5 years ago. I raised the bar with a 13.1 @ 107mph NA with bolt-ons. You really think some old guy who thinks he can drive can out shift me? Outdrag me in a Z? If so keep mag racing and take a ride with somebody who knows what's up....

And-some people powershift down the 1/4, run with minimal gas, take out the spare and jack, where magazines test with lift throttle shifts, full tnak all tools, spare etc. Just because you cant run 13's and see other sorry a$$es doesnt mean others cant. You swallow your pride, suck it up and admit you cant drive and get better.

Magazine racing, ftl. The best they got of a 5AT Z was like a 14.3 or so I believe? Yea, magazines are the end all authority on stock 1/4 times, I believe BriGuyMax went 13.63 stock, I managed 13.66....

I don't have a video, I don't have a camera crew behind me at all times and I especially didn't when I was stock. I have the slip if it makes you feel any better. I'm not bashing you dude, but you should go to Atco. Atco > Englishtown and any other track within 100 miles of you. Go on a night with good air and go to DRAG RACE, don't just roll in off the street unprepared. Air down your back tires, air up your fronts, remove your spare/jack/tools/trunk mats ahead of time, go with 1/4 tank or less in gas. I have no simpathy for people who run crappy times and don't go with the intention of drag racing...if you're going for numbers then make the extra effort to prep correctly (not saying you, just in general)... Anyways good luck dude.

You'll do a 14.1 and then one of those "The ECU is....Mods no good....Z too heavy....what rpm do ya ....threads will start.

I can't wait

I wanna race ya doms....you're close enough too me....I can make it to englishtown in about 25-30 min. I have all kinda disadvantages: 1) never raced at a drag strip 2) I'm 265 lbs 3) I have an 04 g35 6mt....4) some people think my injen cai is a disadvantage (mods: injen cai and ses exhaust and smaller tire diameter 235/35/18 front and 265/35/18 rear).

The reason I wanna race is I have yet to loose to a 350z.....on the street...just stop light runs and a couple of top speed runs....the was one black Z with an injen exhaust that I couldn't beat...(and he couldn't pull on me either)...it was on 295...he ended up heading on i 95 east toward the shore...maybe you know him......anyhow....I'd like to see if you can hand me an L.

yes i'll race you both too... i'm from bayville, nj (by seaside). i never went to atco. I go to englishtown. I dont think the Injen CAI is a negative. That's what i have in my z. however, there was 2 versions. i got the newest one which they changed a bit to improve it.
