9psi stock block for now. I have a race gas tune + more boost I need to try yet, and go to a better track under good conditions. I would go if you guys came near me, but no way Im driving hundreds of miles and possibly snapping an axle or breaking something....

So we could just do a shared track event, no private track rental, as it probably wouldnt be necessary with only 10 cars or so. Then just have the v6 mustang crowd show up with your guys.
Had a run in with a SS camaro with abuncha thingamagiggys on it. eitherway as i passed him sideways the look on his face was priceless but you are right no one races a Turbo Z its hard to find a race

people buy 4 bangers that run 16s stock and people don't find that as coucou as someone buying a v6 mustang that runs 16s stock.
v6 mustang>16 sec 4 banger for potential.
Now the reason why i have a v6 mustang rather than a faster car is because A) i wanted a rwd sports car with 2 doors B) i am only 20 and cant afford much C) my v6 mustang brand new cost 14,500 dollars with my ford A plan discount. D) a mazda miata is rwd, but has a 4 banger with less potential, plus that car has no practicality (could have gotten that with a plan too) E) rx8 costs an arm and a leg and rotary engines arent my cup of tea.

Well anyhow, jackie chan you got a mustang, or some other kind of GT vert(thats not mustang)?
I've raced a 1998 Gt mustang on the freeway from a 70 mph roll to about 120+ (dont know exact speed cuz my crapy speedo goes to 120 only and i didnt have the digital readouts on) i beat it by mutlitple car lengths.
I've raced a 1995 auto GT convertible 5.0 v8 mustang, beat it from a stop everytime. He had exhaust, and underdrive pulley.
I've raced a 350Z and got smoked (it had x pipe, exhaust and a few other things, guy was impressed how fast my car was though)
The only Z i've beaten is some guy in a 280Z (yea the I6 one from like 1980) and ofcourse i won cuz its from 1980, but it was fun.
What i got: 2004 3.8 litre (technicaly 3.9 because they made a little itty bitty change on the crank in 2004), 1.8 non adjustable harland sharp roller rockers, superchip, y pipe back exhaust, and a cold air intake. Also i found out recently my chip makes my car slower, so i am going to get it retuned. I ran a 15.48 with the chip on, and i raced a 15.2 sec grand prix with chip on and lost and won with chip off
So i'd imagine i should be able to pull a high 14, like a 14.9. I also have a few more n/a mods i plan on doing, money is tight though. I also have an automatic
and my chip mis shifts 1st to 2nd so i have to make it shift differntly by lettign off the gas and flooring it really fast just before my shift point. With the chip off i dont have this problem, but my fuel curve is differnt. I plan on doing a dyno run this summer, getting E3 spark plugs or bosch 4 point spark plugs, a ported intake manifold with a 70mm TB. Possibly x pipe and LT headers too. With all those mods i should pull a mid 14. I also want to get cnced heads with bigger valves and a cam, with all these n/a goodies mid- high 13s should be possible with a nice stall converter. If i want to go faster i'll need to change the rotating assembly and get a stroker kit (4.2 v6 like in the f-150 v6).
The big advantage i see you guys haveing is the 4 valve DOHC heads, and the big advantage i see us having is the cheaper parts, cheaper intitial vehicle cost, cast iron blocks, and thats about it, so i think both our advantages end up making it even out. Also you guys get 5 speed autos and 6 speed manuals where as we get 4 and 5 speeds. The new 05+ has 5 speed auto, and we can get a 6 speed manual for 2500 bucks (i've seen only one so far).
Oh we also have a ton of room under our hoods, and solid rear axles that are only an advantage for drag racing.

You shouldnt have beat even a stock 98 GT by multiple car lengths if your running 15.4-unless it was loaded with 4 fat chicks and the driver had palsy, but good kill
Can you link us to a drag regisrty of some V-6 1/4 times with mods? Id like to see what they are capable of...
