Default Mazworx S14 Drag Car - 9.97 @ 145 Video

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We debutted our S14 Drag Car this past weekend at the NHRA Moroso Event. Things went very well, brand new car, just finished on Friday morning and on its 5th pass ever Mark Mazurowski piloted it to a 9.97 @ 145 mph pass bring the record for the US's quickest and fastest 240sx to Orlando.

Setup is pretty straight forward:

Car is Street Legal - full interior, stock fuel tank, running on Mickey Thompson 26x10.5x15 DOT ET Streets, full exhaust, power windows still work, all lights still work, ready to go and get some groceries

S14 Chassis - Weighs 2650 with driver
Mazworx 25.4 Spec Funny Car Style Cage
Mazworx Parachute Mount
Mazworx Window Net
SR20DET, stock stroke, 86.5mm bore
Golden Eagle Sleeves
CP Pistons
Supertech Valvetrain
Mazworx Intake Manifold
Greddy Turbo Manifold
Greddy T88 Turbocharger
Motec M880
Mazworx VG to SR Tranmission Adapter Kit with VG 5 Speed Transmission
Tilton Clutch and Hydraulic Release Bearing
Mazworx Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
Driveshaft Shop Axles

We have no idea how much power the car makes as of yet - it was on the dyno briefly on Thursday night to get some basemap tuning done at 12 psi but no horsepower or torque #'s were able to be recorded before we had to pull the car off the dyno to fix a valvetrain problem - Mark then just tuned the car at the track during the passes this past weekend working off the 12 psi basemap

We will get some dyno #'s on it shortly for reference

If you have any questions just ask.

Who makes the SR to VG transmission adaptor kit?

Also what's done to the transmission internals, if anything.

Nice run

we actually make the complete adapter kit

the tranny is a bone stock 90-96 300zx 5 speed transmission

here is a link to the adapter kit itself that we offer

includes all the parts necessary for bolt in installation - you will just need to source your own transmission and send us the bell housing for machining to work with the adapter plate

yes and no - it is only a 68mm turbo, greddy just designates the names of their turbo's strangely, we can already foresee us potentially using this turbo up and are looking into other options including the GT42r and the Greddy T88h but for right now the standard t88 seems to be working great - i would guess it is making somewhere in the neighborhood of 650 ish right now, there is still a lot left in it - still conservative on the tuneup and this was our first event with the car out - hopefully be running mid to low 9s consistently in no time
