Very nice times-congrats. How bad is it driving without power steering?

thanks, the first day the power steering was kinda crazy, then after that i got used to it really fast and there is NO way i would ever want it back on my car again. its hard to talk on a cell phone and turn when you are sitting still cause you need both arms, but seriously its not bad at all. as soon as you are going 3-4 mph there is no difference...

i am going to say that all the parts total for the power steering weighed 25 pounds total, plus dont forget you have to get a shorter belt to compensate for the missing pulley, the easiest way of doing this is to tie a string around where you want the belt to go and measure the string. i learned this after many trips to the auto parts store.

you also gain a bit of power from the crank pulley not having to drive the power steering pump pulley now also. not sure what kinda numbers but i am sure its only 2 or 3 hp at the most

I wonder how it would affect things on a road course?

Did you just plug it at the rack and leave fluid in it and get rid of the pump and reservoir or did you install a manual rack?

i would install a manual rack if i could find one, its not like the honda days where you find a dx model and switch it out. i just drained all the fluid out and took off the hoses off the rack. i would love to get rid of all that hydraulic stuff underneath...

it lets you feel everything on the corner. i love it

i will be on a road course in a couple weeks, i can let you know...

I wouldnt say you smoked anything-considering the weight reduction, 1 less pulley to spin, and .2 faster 60ft, .2 isnt much at all down the 1/4 Keep up the good work...
