that would be step one, step two would be to pull up about 10 feet and powerbrake the car to heat the tires up, maybe you just launched with wet tires and your clutch is fine...

Hmmmm thats weird. It just might be your clutch. I went to the track about 3 weeks ago and pulled a 13.963 @101mph. With a crappy 2.237 60ft. Actually heres the slip.

Its not wet tires, on the 1-2 shift I got the telltale, drop it in 2nd, let clutch back in, tach is at a certain rpm slides up, then drops down and accelrates up normally.

The avatar isn't mine my car is a 2003 touring edition non convertible.

Damn yellow paper is impossible to read...

Explain how you can tell if I shifted slow to 3rd, this was one of my best drags. I shifted pretty good in this one (at least as far as I remember I did).

Did you miss 4th? Jeremy-if he had missed 3rd his 1/8 would have suffered, and while it was a bit slow at 9.2 his 80mph trap is decent. Hes almost through 3rd at that point, then only picks up 16mph on the top-end. OP-what went wrong after 80mph, problems with 4th?

I didn't forget about you.

Your time slip is unusual. During the last 660 feet, you are adding only 16 mph. I have seen similar performance when the temperature is 85+ degrees, and humidity is 85+ percent. Its tough to do better than 80 mph 1/8 mile with a 2.2 second 60 foot time: acceleration just isn't there.

Overall I am glad that you are out there giving it you best rather than posting BS kill stories in the street racing forum.

yeah i meant fourth gear, yeah you only picked up 16 in the last 1/8th but your 80 mph is good in the 1/8th mile..

that means you either, missed 4th, thought you were at the line at the end when you didnt make it there yet. or have a injen cold air

Everyone reads time slips differently. I always look at the difference between 1/8 and 1/4 mile speed. You are picking up 22 mph: IMHO the 350Z is running well. No need to mention that the 2.2 second 60 foot time hurts ET.

this looks exactly like the typical Z time sheet with minor bolt ons and need to work just a bit on the launch...

^^yea defintley trying to get the lauch down. The tires I'm running on now are just horrible. They're the Avon M-tech but I've had them for a while and they're a lil worn. That and I was in full street trim when I ran that time. Spare tire and all. I even had school books in the glove box. LOLOLOL. I wanna get some sticker tires and try again. From what I've been hearing the track I run at has been really sticky lately. Like peeps feet have been sticking to it. I figure if I can get at 1.9/2.0 60ft, that should put me in mid 13s. But I'm happy with the time considering my mods. Just the Nismo intake and Topspeed exhaust.

One thing no one has asked... What elevation is the track at N/A cars get screwed at higher altitudes. In vegas, a 14.1 bolt-on Z is one fast *****.

What pisses me off is my 98.6 mph trap speed

I am gaining 21 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4 though which is good I think?

So I just need to work on shifting better, or are my mods not working "right"?

Alberto, what bolt ons did you have to get 13.13?

What are some good street tires that work well to drag with? I have Toyo T1-s on mine now.
