Default Drag Results only 14.1...

I went to the strip on Saturday and did about 8 runs. My best time was 14.1 I don't remember my trap speed I'll have to look for my slip...

But this is a little dissapointing I have quite a few mods so I figure I would have been in the mid 13s..

My mods are:
Cat back exhaust, hi-flows, headers, nismo fly, ur pulley, AAM Plenum Spacer, Pop-Charger, AAM reflash, koyo radiator...

The only thing I can attribute the slowness to is my 19" rims? Would you think this would be causing it? The width on these is 10.5".

19's don't help but you just need to practice. With those mods you have the capability of doing much better. My guess is low to mid 13's.

with those mods i think you should be easily in the 13s.

I have an intake/exhaust/stock 18s and i'm doing 14.1@100, and that's with crappy launch and 2.2 60ft times.

Ill go out on a limb and say that if you got your 60ft time down to 2.0 or 1.9 you'd be in the 13.8-13.9 range.

+1 he is about right, you could launch just a bit better and drop it down to 13.8 ish. that should be about right depending on where you are running. the trap speed is a bit low. did you run with full spare and jack and possibly a system in it...

weight will reduce your trap speed

Your 60ft is decent, but yor trap and 1/8 e.t. needs work and could be much faster with that 60ft. What that tells me is you have a slow 1-2, or 2-3 or both, so work on those shifts. FWIW I ran a 13.80 @ 100 with a 2.16 60ft, 1/8 was 8.90. Work a little on your launch and a lot on your shifting and you'll be solid 13's

Hrmmmm, I did not have the spare or jack in the car, and I don't lift to shift and follow your shifting technique Alberto. Whats the worst is I was on Z32TT rears with Mickey Thomspon ET streets on them. I think the slow ETs and trap speeds are possibly because of a slipping clutch? My first launch that night on the DR's was a 4,000 rpm preloaded drop and the car just leaped out of the hole and then the next thing I know bam the clutch slips and i hit the revlimiter in 1st going like not even 10 mph. I let off the gas and the clutch grabs and I nail it again and go. Then on the 1-2 shift the clutch slipped again but seemed ot hold the rest of the shifts. I ran a 14.7 on that run. Then I ran 2 more times. Each consecutive run was a softer launch at lower RPM's so the lcutch wouldnt slip. That 14.1 was my last and best run at like a 2,500 rpm slip launch. It didnt seem like the clutch was slipping but is it possible its just barely slipping causing me the slower than norm for my mods ET's and traps? I honestly don't think its my shifting because I shift pretty damned fast, hell you have to when you don't lift to not get an rpm spike during the shift.

has anyone else had problems launching at the track on the updated stock '05 "softer feel" clutch on DR's or slicks?

This is part of the reason why Im looking into an ACT PP/clutch combo as my next mod.

I pull consistent 2.1 60fts on Nitto street tires and have even pulled a 2.0 one time. This is with a 5AT. Ill let the experts take it from here.

If you do shift well and that is not the issue you def need to replace that clutch sounds like its done racing wise or maybe you slipped the clutch too much on the slicks and killed it.

Well when I launched the 1st time I swear I felt I was going to pull a sick 60' time, the drag radials dead hooked and the car leapt forward, then Mr Clutch said FU! and let go If the clutch would have held I bet that would have been maybe a mid to high 1.x 60' time.

those 60 foot times are really bad if you were on MT ET streets.

you probably smoked the clutch doing your burnout...
