What's the strangest thing you have seen race down a dragstrip?

In millington I saw two Saturn Vues (non redline) line up against each other. I grabbed a corn dog and went to the restroom and they still weren't across the finish line before I got back.

Also, an '84 Caprice Classic run an 11.6

At the light you hit the brake as hard as you can, you hit the gas as hard as you can, then watch the lights, which i guess would be the only part that would change from race to race. Everything else should have such consistency that it is almost like cheating! I think its cheap.
His times range from 19.70 - 19.95 so that 2/10's+ and his reaction time can win or lose a race easily. He keeps changing his dial constantly. No doubt that it is easier than a F/I car that can't always get traction, but it isn't as easy as it seems. His tranny doesn't always shift at exactly the same rpm either. this is a Tercel man. not exactly precise. He has been drag racing for about 20 years and has a fast car that he runs at the big events.
