What's the strangest thing you have seen race down a dragstrip?
Some people will bring anything to the strip
Last night at the local 1/8 mile dragstrip (Sunshine in Clearwater) I saw a guy line up with a snowmobile
to race a streetbike.
(I live in Florida, btw...)

18 wheeler running 14's whooping up on the local rice. And ATV's with blazing 1/8 times-they run out gearing shortly after though and bounce rev limiter in 5th the rest of the way. IIRC one went 13.8 @ 86 <----needs more gear!

There is a Tercel that runs at Infineon in Sport/Street that wins a lot. His dial is usually somewhere around 19.90. He is a good driver and keep meticulous records.

there's an accord that goes to the track and dials in a 17.2 and won last year. Kinda hard to mess up your runs in an stock auto accord i guess.

but common seriously. How inconsistent is a stock auto car gonna be.
At the light you hit the brake as hard as you can, you hit the gas as hard as you can, then watch the lights, which i guess would be the only part that would change from race to race. Everything else should have such consistency that it is almost like cheating! I think its cheap.

At atco a couple of weeks ago I saw two camo painted jeep wranglers that were seriously lifted with big mud tires and they were drag racing!
