I wish I had better 60fts though.. did you see I could only cut a 1.92?? I know I have room for improvement so I'll try lowering the pressure some more and maybe do a 2nd gear burnout. So far, all burnouts I did were in 1st like yours.

Later during the day, I did cut a 1.85 but I redlined in 2nd so I did not bother beating on the car any further that run. I think I need to lower the pressure a bit more. I tried 20psi, then went to 17psi. I believe one of these was on 20psi, the other 2 on 17psi.

What pressure do you run?

OH and I guess I should give myself credit for the other 2 runs with lower trap speeds but hey.. I did run a 13.349 !

i would just get the weld racing/mt drag set up and be done with it.

that was you will be set for future mods you might purchase.

i cut a few low 1.7s with 18 -20 pounds of air in them NA(bogging every time naturally aspirated) its all about heating them up right. plus, remember that a half a pound of air is a lot when you are lowering the air pressure. do it in steps and make sure you heat them the same..... trust me, second gear burnouts is why i am hooking so well

you will need right about a 105 trap to run 12s NA in this car. you are pretty close...

Hey Ichiba!! Welcome to the site!! With your y-pipe now on, I will go back to the track and beat my time. And if it is an unbelievable time like a 13 flat or hell a 12.99, I want sponsorship Goddammit!! Haha!

Audiblemayhem.. thanks for the advice. I truely believe a 2nd gear burnout is in order just like you suggested. I warmed them up pretty good in first, but they don't even get smokey that way, which tells me they can get a bit warmer for a lower 60ft. I'm nowhere near bogging and in fact, I'm spinning!! So I will try that at the Z day at Englishtown.. I hope most of you will be there!

its kinda tricky to do the second gear burnout at first, make sure you get the tires really wet in the box. if not you will start to spin them, then it hooks, then it glazes your clutch pretty nice.... not good!!

good luck man, i love to see all the quarter miles average times for everyone keep dropping and dropping...

Nice times. As others have stated 60ft's can drop some with the ET Streets. How many psi were you running in them? What rpm were you launching at?

I had them at 18-20 I think.. Launched at various RPMs between 4500 and 6000.

I need to get that 60ft down if I wanna get closer to 12s. So far, I'm pulling weaksauce 1.92s..

You need to run 15-16 psi in them. I didnt hook very well at anything higher than 16.5psi...

I was running anything between 11 and 16lbs and had the most consistent results at 16 but haven't tried any higher than that yet. I was bogging them down towards the top of first with the lower pressures but I was used to having more power in the z32 as I had to run lower pressure when I was racing it for a good launch. With just bolt ons the z33 doesn't have the power to effectively use the lower pressures.
