nothing big...
man, i got three runs in at my local track last night, it was about 85 for the first run and got down to 77 for my last run. i went just EXACTLY like i drive my car on the street. i have 265/40/18 BFGs DRs on them all the time for my daily driving tires.
i started at 20 psi, these things do burnouts way different than my slicks, they almost catch traction immediately when i drop the clutch in second, its hard to keep the car still. the first time even with wet tires, they just almost hooked and i jumped sideways.
the second time, 18 psi i got them really wet, then dropped the clutch in second at 6000, got my foot over on the brake and again they were trying to go forward more, i pushed the brake just a bit more and it bogged my car down. damnit.
the third time, 18 psii got them really really wet, this time they spun better in second but only for about 3 seconds, then i swear they just dead hooked right by the box.
slicks are soo much easier to warm up at my track. line locks would have been nice last night.
three runs, i didnt want to ride the clutch AT ALLl, i was trying to drop it and dead hook at different rpms, well it didnt happen last night. i will play around with them a bit more.
2.12 2.10 2.00 all really spinning, i know i could have brought that down riding the clutch a bit more but i wasnt trying to do that.
i messed my scanner up but i ran 13.2 13.3 13.4 all at 105.5 to 106, not that bad for just exactly how i drive my car on the street. i know i could get it to run 12.7-12.8 at 107-108 with no problem. trapping only 83.5 to 84 at the 1/8th and my best on the slicks with less hp was 84.5 but now i am picking up over 22.5 in the last 1/8th
just thought i would share really quick...

What you described with your car moving forward and sometimes bogging due to more brake pressure is what happens with me and my slicks. Line locks will surely help us both-especially me! Good times though, my 107mph NA trap still stands
yeah, see with my slicks i didnt ever have that problem, its just with these drag radials the would just move forward too much, if i put on more brakes, then it bogged the car down.
i only had three runs and its been over a month since i have been to the track. i might go again friday or next wed.
i was trying to get them to bog so i knew where i was at for traction but it didnt work yet....

wow your car is running pretty strong for the weather last night. your tune must be spot on. i was only trapping 103(with some extra weight in the car) but i had et streets on and only going 13.2's with high 1.7 60's
yeah, if people knew our weather here, they would understand my car is much faster....
heheh i wish we could get a nice cold dry night, i will have to wait till october though now...
what mustang were you in?? i raced one on et streets?? what color??
whats your normal trap?? i saw a guy in a mustang right next to me with some chic?? it was black i think..

i only made 3 or 4 passes, one was on my REALLY heavy 18x10's, then i swappedout a heavy *** 17x10.5 set of deep dish bullitts with 26x11.5x17 et streets on them just to see how they were. they are a lot taller than my street tires so they kill my gear( i was only going through the traps at 5k rpm which is about 500rpms less than usual)
this is mine:

my normal trap is in the 105 range but i need to adjust my fpr for summer(its running really rich) and check my timing. I have been neglecting the car lately as far as the performance goes. its kinda on the back burner since im starting a new job and looking for a house around here. i'll have a new Daily Driver next week, so the stang will be getting a power adder by summer's end

audiblemayhem - What have you done to your car and those low 13s were on your DRs then? Aren't those 60' kinda high for DRs?
alberto - I'm guessing you also ran on slicks or DRs when you got that 13.1 at 107? What was done to your car at the time?
I've always thought those low 13s that some people claim were on streets. I guess not. Then that makes me feel a lot better.
Sorry, if I'm asking questions you don't want to answer. I'm just trying to compare to my times. What were you guys' times when you were all stock (nothing changed at all)?
