Default Small changes make a new best time

Well, I had the dynotune nitrous setup which I hated and I switch to the lightning series NX stuff. With the same 100 shot but using the NX nozzle and solenoid got a new best time.

12.196@115.89 1.86 60ft

Got a new best in my 2005 Altima 3.5ser
13.682@104.28 2.08 60ft

Was on my BFG kwd2's.

The altima is a 3.5ser which was a huge upgrade from our 2002 altima 3.5se both in power and handling. So far the altima just has manual trans, stillen cold air intake, stillen cat-back, stillen downpipes no cats, stillen headers and a short throw shifter.

My wife used to laugh becasue I bought the Z used and it was bone stock. I had aleady done all the mods to the altima. So anyway to make a long story short we picked up the Z and on the way home we got a red light so we raced( my wife knows nothing about car just likes fast cars). She pulled steadily on me up til 80 or so and then she had me by like 3 or 4 cars. The altima 3.5ser's are no slouches, look out for those on the road they are quicker than people think!!

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm gonna go to the track saturday now too. I ordered some mickey thompson drag tires and 15 inch wheel though. I thick that should be enough to break into the 11's. I launched pretty good but when the nitrous hits in 2nd it spins pretty good. If I can get rid of some of that I think I can break into 11's.

I hope it was cool though when I went. All my nitrous set up it totally hidden now can't see any of it. When I went to the track my 1st run just did a base run without nitrous ran like a 13.50's. There were a tone of srt4's and sti's there and the one sti guy run like 13 flat and got me by like 4 car the 1st run with out nitrous and he was all bragging to his buddies how he smoked me and then he tells me not bad buddy, I beat 350's all the time but not bad so the next run I made sure I got in line with him again. You should have seen his face as I was passing him by and then ran a 12.30's that run and got him by like 8 cars. He looked all over my car and didnt see a thing and then said damn I didnt think those were that fast. I loved it too funny until the next run he saw me purge at the line. Oh well it was great!

Right now I have the N2O off in 1st gear so it hits in 2nd. Do you think with the mickey thompsons i can have the N2o hit in 1st as well? on street tires when the N2O hits in 1st the car just goes nuts and roasts the tires forevever, probably looks cool to do a 3 gear burn out but doesnt get me to the end of the 1/4 mile that fast. I only tried one run with the N2O hitting in 1st and I ran like a 14.08@112

Yes you could spray in 1st on slicks and hook. Audiblemayhem has done that to produce 1.6 60ft's

you know the BFG kwd2's hook awsome but with a 100 shot hitting at 3200rpm it just rips the tires loose. 3rd and 4th gear though pulls very hard. Feels like with the N2O 4th gear pulls like N/A 2nd gear does. well, I ordered just steel 15 inch wheels and MT 26/10-15. That should hook nicely with a good burnout I think

Take some pics man. Good luck tonight. Start at 17psi and work down in 1psi increment till you have a good balance of traction/slight spin. Usually for me, 15.5-16psi is ideal And get them hot!
