Like I mentioned earlier, my TH400 (even on the brake) never launched as good as the 200R4.

200R4 in action (E-Town, NJ circa mid 1990's) on the way to a 1.47 60 ft., which wasn't bad for a 9 inch slick and stock suspension.

I always wanted to carry both wheels, but never made enough power.

thats bada$$, how much did that car weigh and how much power were you making??

plus how much boost could you make sitting still??

thanks man, my car should weigh 2900 here with cage in it with air, radio

i am going to try and try and try to run 9.99 with 28x9.5 slicks and see how close i can get. if i hit it, then i might go all out and make it full drag race car that i will trailer around to events.

i am sure i could get it down to 2700-2750 full race weight, plus me 180 lbs

i will constantly be changing the suspension to get my best traction, it will be fun as well...

Don't know how much power it made (I'm older and dyno's weren't that common back then, mid 90's), but it weighed ~3650 with me in it. Plug that weight and a 10.8@127 quarter mile into a power calculator and you could get a guesstimate.

I'd be at about 8-10 psi when it launched. It was a fairly high compression/low boost combo (which is unusual and not the way I would do it if I had to do it again). 9.7:1 CR and 17 psi. It was a nice responsive setup on the street though, especially with the 4.10....almost zero lag with a 3,600 stall.

When I see the turbo technology going into cars today.....350z's, GNs, Evos, SRT-4's, Cobras, Supras, Vettes, etc., it seems like what I had was "Stone Age" by comparison.

I'm stuck down here in south Florida until Sunday afternoon and have to ba back here Tuesday @ 6am, so I guess my testing will be done up in Georgia next weekend.
I guess there is a snowball's chance I may make it this week to OSW first, but I can't make any concrete plans with my crappy schedule.
Here's a short vid of the car taken in Georgia last spring, not my fastest pass to date, but you get the idea... I was having tire troubles, so you'll see the car kind creep out 100 feet or so before waking up.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...128D60795B.htm

BTW the car weighs 2750 with me and fuel in it

I can't wait to see everyone's set up either.. I actually would love to do an NA setup, it's just too much money for me right now since I'm saving up for B-school.

Anyway, I will go back to beat my time though.. thanks to recommendations from some of you experts

now that I know what pressure to run in my MTs and that I added a y-pipe (I hope that thing makes power lol), I want a low low 13 dammit!

I'll figure out my own true dual with x-pipe in the winter time and come back for more. 12s or bust!

good luck to all.

hey mojo, sounds like you have a plan, dont worry so much on the exhaust, some test pipes and a nice single is all you need and you will shave off 40-50 pounds easily. thats what i would recommend, not sure you mods but a utec would be a easy way to get into the 12s..

you're right about aiming high!

and you're also right about the single exhaust. True dual doesn't seem to make that much more hp than single with so little mods anyway.

But you know, I just got that magnaflow x-pipe+resonator thing... I liked that thing so much that I decided to just get my own exhaust done.

I even thought about getting it done in aluminized steel instead of stainless. Could that be a little lighter?

Also, I can't seem to justify paying 1200-1500 for a catback you know? Even at 900 bucks for a single, it seems to me like I can get a nice true dual with that magnaflow x-pipe I just got done at a local muffler shop.

I would probably get a DYI exhaust kit with mandrel bends since most local muffler shops don't have a mandrel bender.

Now, a UTEC.. that's next

Here, I'm aiming high: I'm aiming for your time with same mods or less, how's that? Coming after ya buddy..

Thats what I like to see-people setting high, yet realistic goals. I bet you can beat Jeremy's time without all the weight reduction Jeremy did j/k Jeremy

Those goals are unlikely, but still possible.
