Great ET especially considering the average launch. Conditions must have been excellent. Keep up the good work.

That is the fastest stock trap I have seen!

With a 2.0 60', you could set a stock record.

It's interesting how much trap your car is picking up from the 1/8th too.

Thanks. It seemed like an above average launch to me, it was definitely the best of the night by far...and with no LSD, it's really tough not to spin a tire.

Conditions were like 70* and about 82% humidity...

Well, thanks. I'm not really trying for a record or anything, I just had never drag raced and wanted to. I may not ever go again! lol This car is for autox.

Default 1/4 mile times

same here 13.8-13.9 1/4 mi. 102-104 mph(spacer, duals, popcharger) seems about right for our bolt ons i heard the 03 models are a little quicker in the 1/4 mi.

Conditions must have been good. I also suspect you ditched the sub, and the spare/tools? Those featherweight 17" volks aren't slowing you either.

Nice times.

Thanks, but you can check the thread for those answers .....

Conditions were 70*f, 82% humidity. I took the sub out, and I was running stock wheels with 400 treadwear all-season tires, not the Volks.

Ahhh....North Carolina.

I've gotten in arguments with guys over at Maxima.org about this. The Z was run at Rockingham which I have always contended spits out by far the quickest times and fastest MPHs I've ever seen for stock and modded car. Case in point there are three Maximas I know of that race at that track and they're the three fastest Maximas in the world in terms of thier mods.

Maxima 1 - 03, 6MT, I/H/E, modded intake manifold, ECU, mild gutting, slicks 12.8@108mph, 1.9 60 foot

Maxima 2 - 02, 4AT, I/H/E, 13.6@99mph, with slicks 13.4@101, 2.0 60'

Maxima 3 - 96, 4AT, I/H, 14.4@98mph, 2.2 60'

On average, these cars are a solid .3-.4 seconds quicker and 3mph faster than any other Maxima in the country with the same mods/model. Everything that runs at that track tends to be damn quick. I'd absolutely love to run out there

One night I was watching the ricer show Nopi Tuner Vision and they were at "The Rock". All the drivers said they're cars had never run so quickly and many of their personal records were crushed.

Some tracks are just faster than others.

I've heard similar things.....but at the same time, I was there with some friends with Spec-V's..... they were running consistent, and their times were similar if not slower than the norm for their car and mods. One of the guys drag races every week.

Not to mention the humidity is insane right now...

I guess I'll have to go back in November with my Volks and Azenis, and race in 50* weather with 50% humidity..... then maybe I will get close to a stock 'record' for the Z.....

I hear what you're saying, but when I see way above average timeslips for cars (F-Bodies, Stangs, G35s, Maximas, etc), it always seems the cars were run at Cecil, The Rock, HRP, Sacremento, Steele, or Toronto. The Rock seems to turn probably the best times I've seen. A stock 98 Cobra (305hp) went 13.4@107mph out there and a stock LS1 did 12.6@110.

What were the Sentras running? ET/MPH wise?

Humidity does effect performance, but not nearly as bad as people think.

I found out the density altitude for 1100pm at Rockingham, NC (350') on 9/23. It was 79 degrees, 69 degree dew point, and 30.0 baro. The calculated density altitude was 1,900' above sea level. I don't see why you couldn't run a 13.6@106mph at the Rock in better Fall DA conditions with no changes to the car. It would be a record for this site and it's a legit time.

Oh, snap!

Do you know the DA and your race weight by any chance?

I'm not sure what DA is, and I have never had the car weighed. I would assume it's similar to stock base edition Z's normal weight, minus the spare and jack, and add the weight of all the stereo wiring that's in there.

The fastest the sentra ran was on the time slip I posted, that was his best run, lane 1. 15.4 @ 89

I think I might try again in cold weather with the Volks and Azenis.

I was there the night Fluid ran. I actually watched him run that 13.8@104. Nice run dude! I was running my black 540I 6-spd. The track was not kind to me though. I went there just to goof off. Given the humidity, I didn't expect to ET very well but I was hoping I would trap better than 100. I hit 103mph on one run, 102.97 on another and the rest were pretty much 101 although the only run that my rad/clutch fan were not on was the 103mph run. I ran the damn heater nonstop trying to get those fans to turn off, but they just wouldn't. I was down about 15-20HP as a result of the fans running. I also had to really baby the thing out of the whole, or it would one wheel peel (no lsd). Here's my goof off video from the Rock that night:

Either way shoot me a PM next time you head to the track and if I can make it out, i'll bring my camcorder and get you on tape.
