Talking New PB: 12.4@123!!!!!

The slip reads like this:

R/T: .101
60ft: 2.340
8th: 8.391@93.460

E.T.: 12.422@123.930!!

Unfortunately this was in the SRT-10. This was my first time racing the Viper as it only has 570 miles. Apparently, Sac raceway dosn't allow convertables to run lower than 13.5 w/o a roll bar Thus I ran once before they told me to hit the road. Since my Z was the quickest car up to this point, I have a little practicing to do on my launch (this 2.3 60ft was done rolling off the line). My 123 mph trap however shows just how powerful BigBri's car really is (see BigBri's video).

That's GAY that the track won't let you run w/o a roll bar. Nice trap speed though...that's good for mid 11s with some traction.

EDIT: Just looked up the DA's for today out there in the afternoon/evening. They were SICK low. Started around 800ft @ 2pm and dropped to -9ft by 8pm. That would explain the very healthy trap speed. I wish my track was 35 feet above sea level.

Congrats, and work on that launch!

Like Brian said, you will be running 11's with a good 60'.

Thats some good **** JP, you are on the viper forums, what do they turn out stock in the best conditions? 11.6's-11.7's?? How was the traction, were you spinning in any of the gears, Sac Raceway isn't exactly the best prepared track....Side note we all need to go to dinner this weekend with the ladies, I really want some ruth chris lol.

Yeah, this is the first time I've ever heard of the roll bar thing. I knew the d/a was good but damn...negative altitude! Like I said I merely rolled off the line knowing the stock run-flats would spin, but I got onto the gas a little too quickly and spun at the top of first, then banged 2nd and third. As suprising as it may sound, the Viper actually donsen't feel that different (except for the two foot tall shifter) than my i/h/e Z (which I've run a 13.3@104)...although it's nice that the Viper's 3rd gear is good for 126mph!

Ian, let me know.
