Default Weird Clutch Pedal Behaviour

as you know I have the ATS Dual clutch.
tonight on my way home there was a stuck train and we were on stop, 5 mph, stop, 5 mph traffic for 40 minutes. During that my clutch pedal started to get softer and it would not return to the non-pressed position unless I pulled it back with my foot. I then stopped at a class I went to for a few hours and when I drove home the pedal was stiff (normal) again.

Should I be worried? does that happen when the cluthc heats up? Is there something that can be done? I never had that issue with the JWT clutch

Please advise

Thomas

Air in system, mine did the same thing I had to rebleed. Mine would get really soft and crappy feeling on cold mornings I checked and the fluid was VERY low and I got under the car and had no signs of leaks from the SS clutch line. I added fluid and rebled all is good now. You def need a buddy to help you with that.

its pretty much just how you bleed brakes, pump a few times hold and open up the bleed screw down on the bottom of the tranny. you will see the bleed screw at the end of the clutch line.

good luck

I've read that you have to manually pull out the clutch pedal after each bleed, any truth to that? Or is that only when the system is totally dry...

Yes when you first do it, the clutch will stick to the floor just pull it out with your foot and press down again. After 1-3X it will come up on its own, when you hold down and bleed again it will stick, then repeat.

I went to GTM today and Ed bleed the clutch but it still does the same. Weird thing is that if I turn the car off and then on again it's all normal

yeah thats really weird cause there is no electronic parts that would reset once you turned the car on and off...

I took the car out for a few hours of driving tonight and now the clutch pedal is very stiff the way it was when I first picked up the car...I had to relearn how to launch slowly in first

Oh well, let's see if it stays this way or if it'll change again
