Default ideal AC/heat settings for drag

i was told to turn ac off and set the fans to take outside air and crank the heat and fans up to get the best results. supposedly this keeps engine bay temps down. it is this true or does it really not matter? thanks!

Do not race with the air conditioning ON. Condensation will drip water on the staging pad. Any fluid leaking from the car is potentially a forfeit. Officials are very observant. If you are running the air in the staging lanes, you may be asked to cut it OFF.

I have raced with the ambient temperature less than 50 degrees with the heat ON. Hell I was wearing gloves to keep my hands warm. I saw no appreciable difference in performance.

Racers may have problems with heat soak during test & tune with back-to-back runs. I have heard members mention I got in 10 runs today. I guarantee as the day progressed that ET suffered. I recommend a minimum of 20 minutes between runs.

When competing, there is a situation where an official announces Round Robin or winners return to the staging lanes immediately. If you win and have to run again immediately, adjust your dial-in.

BTW where are your times: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233840?
