Default Yep, still need to break those 14's...

Here's what I got so far. Been to the track three times now.

1st run
et: 14.394
rt: 0.9982
speed: 100.561
60ft:2.4352
330: 6.363
1/8: 9.485

2nd run
et: 14.365
rt: 0.585
speed: 100.267
60ft:2.360
330: 6.316
1/8: 9.441

My car is still stock. How am I doing? I know I still have a long way to go. My first few times were very much lost with tire spin in 1st and 2nd gear. I'm over that stage and now I'm at bugging it too much on the start. I'm also having a little too much 2nd gear spin and I think its because my clutch engagement is very high. I tried to adjust it with my mechanic but it was too difficult. Thanks.

Your problem is 60-foot time. Without a respectable 60-foot time you can kiss 13.99 seconds goodbye. Why not drop the tire pressure 2 PSI with each run, and see if that helps.

Thanks Dave. You're always there for the boys when we don't ask something stupid!

Yeah, I'm running 35psi on 265/35/18 bald Michellins. Need tires bad. Thats why I made the thread earlier in January about which tire, don't know if you remember.

But anyways, how low should I go in psi? You think my car is capable of cracking 14's decently driven?

LOL. I run 30 PSI. Pick-up the front tire pressure 5PSI.

Practice makes perfect.

I run 25 psi in my rear Nitto 275/40-18s and I have actually been able to pull a 2.0 60ft and I even have a 5AT.

Excellent 60-foot time. Most likely you will want to post your times here: https://my350z.com/forum/drag/233840-top-25-1-4-mile-times-for-tt-st-supercharger-nitrous-bolt-ons-stock.html

davidv: how have you been doing in the car? I saw you once at capitol but we were all running slow cause of the heat. I think you were doing 14.1 at the time. You planning on coming down to capitol this spring? I'll be there the first day it opens and hopefully will see some of the my350z.com guys there.

Thanks, but my ET is nothing to brag about due to the high elevation of my track.

There's no need to be ashamed. It can't be worse than mine. You can make a note of the elevation. Everyone knows NA cars are slower at higher altitude.

yeah thats pretty much what I do as well because it seems like every time I launch hard I loose traction and it wont catch until I shift.

My guess is you have the base. Let me summarize, we're screwed! Very hard to go anywhere without the LSD. Thats my next mod.

Thanks for the invite. I recall you sitting at the starting line next to a BMW. For some reason the BMW was in reverse. Scared the hell out of me.

I race Summit ET on Sundays at Cecil County. In July and August I might go to Capital at night just for fun.

OK, twist my arm. My best is a 14.33 @ 98mph. Elevation is a little over 3,000ft. Stock I would run 14.9-15.0.

Welcome to my life. Our sh1tty climate doesn't help, neither. Oh well, what can we do but complain?

As for the launch... yeah.. don't do what you're doing.. Read up on the forums and get a general idea as to how you should be doing them. You'll soon find out. Nobody ever taught me how to launch or how to shift on the track or any track related info. I'm still learning, but I think I've made good progress so far. Good luck.

Well people, I have cracked it. I did a few mods since the thread started when I was stock. The new mods are: Injen SES, TP, Spacer, pop, 3.9FD, Quaife LSD. Oh, I still need tires! Thanks to David and all the people that contributed to my times improvement.

I'm surprised you're not getting a better 60' time with the 3.9 FD, but the improvement you got out of those mods are definitely there to be seen. Good job.
