First time at the track with the 350...
Ok so Im wondering if my times are decent. I don't have my full slips with me but I ended up with first run at 15.00 (lots of spin hehe). Then I ran two 14.50's. I've got a 2004 bone stock M6 Touring. There was another stock z there (AJCOOL) and he pulled two 13.8's and a 13.9 in his auto!! Though I think he's got 17's not the 18's (don't know if thats going to affect me to much or not. My 60's were 2.3 and 2.2 (on the quicker runs) and all times were at @98mph. Just hoping I don't have a dud 350z .

your problem is your lunch... you need to get the "SWEET SPOT" and not peel/bog and just get it right.... once you get your 60' under 2.0 you will see the 13.9 numbers on a stock 04 Z. I ran my 04Z b4 i moded to see gains and i ran 14.2's all day but still with a little bog everytime with a 2.0 60'. im not the best driver and couldnt find the SWEET SPOT that day also i have 200lbs of stereo equipment and spare tire in the back.
with practice you will have the 60' time and for a first time track run that is not bad at all. fastesta anyone has gotten I believe (there is a chart on this forum) is a 13.6 with a 1.8 60'.

Ok well maybe I don't feel too bad about my times. Though definatly not my first time at the track; just first time with the 350. Every other car I've ran at the track has had ammm oh yeah half the hp & torque hehehe... I felt like I was getting a pretty nice launch no spin, but running the clutch some and not all the way into the throttle. So Im assuming thats whats killing my 60' and in turn knocking down my trap speed and time.

Dr Spin: don't feel bad, it takes alot of practice to learn how to launch your car. I am still getting 2.0x - 2.2x 60' times which is keeping me from making it into the mid 12 sec times. I'll be back at capitol in April, either on friday or saturdays. I hope to see you guys there.

I think launching is the key to these cars. Everytime I launched I got a half car on every car that was next to me including an evo(which shocked the hell out of me). I'm used to lauching my auto maxima so that helped a little and I got tips from other auto Z drivers.

At least post the breakdown of the entire slip so we can better analyze whats going on. 14.5 isnt too bad, Id say you are right on for an average driver first time out.
I dont agree with that statement. I ran 13.80 on my first pass ever and a weak sauce 2.17 60ft. Followed it with a 13.77 and 13.86, who says manuals arent consistent?
