Default Clutch get stuck

Anybody here ever had their clutch get stuck on them while going down the strip?

At the line... lined up with a GTI, I started out great. I had a decent 2.3 on the 60' footer on my stock 03. While shifting from first to second my clutch got stuck half way. A few second later it release it self. Lucky for me he missed a gear and I was able to catch him. I ended with a horrible time of 15.1 and trap at 95mph.

Is this something I can avoid for the next time at the track? I was told it be could any of these three things:

A. Pressure plates

B. Clutch fluid

C. Master solenoid

Can anyone enlighten me?

You should do a search. There are a bunch of threads about this issue. Go to the forum tab and hit the search icon. That is why people are not answering your question.

could be from the stock rubber clutch line being heated up too much and just getting spongy... be careful though i've seen a couple snapped but they were on FI'ed cars.

drifter... I been searching for a couple days now and most of the search result had to do with aftermarket clutch replacement. And maybe one or two with people relating to the question, but no real anwers.

clipso... No thats not my problem. I wish it was that easy.

JDM... That make sense, I'll have shop look at when it goes in for work.

Sounds good, will probably do in the near future. It would not be long since I've been burning my the stock clutch on occasion.

Keep an eye on it. If it doesn't do it again you should be good. Mine did that for a day once, and hasn't done it since then.

Drifter... Good find! Must have miss it or only saw the beginning. The clutch fluid and lines make sense to me.

Yea, sound like my next "mod/repair" is a flush, SS lines and Motul RBF 600 Racing DOT fluid.

Much thanks to everyone that show interest in this subject!

I had a decent 2.3 on the 60' footer on my stock 03

A 2.3 60ft is not decent FYI. Do the fix above and you should be issue free. Good luck.
