Is R/T important?
I've been told to have a good reaction time it has to be in the 0.500ish. That any thing less would mean that your jumping the gun.
So question one; does R/T play role in your ET?
Question two; when do you launch, at the last yellow?
Can anyone enlighten this Noob in the import of a good reaction time and why?

In bracket racing it plays a role, but in ET it doesn't. In bracket racing if you nail a .000 (or .500 in your case) light and both you and the guy next to you nail your dial ins, but he had a slower R/T, you win.

It plays an important part anytime racing against someone. Better RT could mean the holeshot or the race in some cases.
It does not however effect your ET WHatsoever. If racing alone, or not competive, take your time and worry about a good launch and 60ft

.000 is perfect on an LED tree ie the new style.
If on a bulb tree .500 is perfect
Leave on the last yellow
RT plays a part in the race, not the ET. The person leaving on a better light has a better chance at the holeshot and winning the race. Other factors come in to play here obviously, but thats the gist of it. So anything competition wise, the RT is very important unless you have a retarded fast car and can make up the holeshot on the big end. Another story for another day.
But it does not make any difference on the ET at all.
