Was in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago and took a Helicoptor ride . We flew over the Hilo drag strip and took a pic . Thought I would share...not to good of a pic though

 

I can see 350Z at the finish line. Looks like 13.48 seconds to me.

 

My question is how the hell do you get there? You need to drive off-road just to get to the track. lol. My Z couldn't make it.

 

The roads out on the Big Island are largely covered by big tall trees. I'm sure it's a paved road to get there. It appears that the track was formerly the old Hilo air strip.

I'm taking the family to Hawaii at the end of the month...any suggestions on places of interest to see.We're flying into Maui and plan to go to Honolulu.

Take lots of money...lol

We spent our time on the big Island , so I cant help other than the money suggestion . Eating out is going to be the most exspensive . We ate breakfast every day at the Hotel...$15 for all you can eat . Dinner...most meals will be $50 per person at the least . Most activities will cost a bunch too . Let see ..Helicopter ride for 2, 2 hours = $800 ....Charter boat , deep sea fishing ended up to be an exspensive all day boat ride = $600 , ATV ride , 1 1/2 hours = $200 . Submarine ride 1 hour + $180 . This was for two people so add how many is in your family . HAVE FUN...LOL !!!
