Your going to want 15 or 16 x 8 depending on if you have Brembo's with a 5.5 back spacing. Jegs prices can't be beat.

Well i dont have brembos... an di dont know what my back spacing is really... but where can i get these 16 x 8 ???

Damn fellas, looking at Jegs website, I don't think it will be easy finding a 16x8drag wheel. Now come to think of it, I remember Alberto saying that they discontinued them or something.

Anyway, if you don't have Brembo's you can run a 15x8 with 5.5" backspacing. If you have Brembo's, you might want to look for some RX-7 FD rims or some 300zx TT rims<--- but you have to modify them slightly.

Maybe Jeremy from Performance Factory can make a sticky thread on this or something because he's run so many different set-ups and can go way more into detail,

i looked on the jegs website at the wheels and im fine running 15" instead of 16.... that just means more tire. lol. but what about the 15x10... will those fit? and i think on the website the most backspacing i saw was 4.5 i didnt see 5.5

This is the Weld part# on Jegs site. 927-96-510212

Its a 15 x 10 with 6.5 back spacing

Depending on the tire diameter, fender rolling might be needed.

RX-7 16X8 wheels weigh in at about 15#. I bought a pair for putting drag radials on. Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials. 255/50 -16 it is essentially a 26x10.5". those are the listed specs.

You're kind of on your own there because too many variables come into play for specific needs. Basically, pick a tire with as close to a 27" Diameter that will fit your rim width. Usually the tire descriptions will give you the recommended wheel width for the tire.

I don't know how critical it is but I just use the same size everyone else is running.

I'm selling a set on the private classifieds..

it's the best of both worlds, they are MT ET Streets mounted on really light 300zx wheels. I'll post pics on there later today.

so i think im going to go with the DR's cause they seem more practical... and my question would be: whats a good set of 18x10.5 i can get for a spare set to run the DR's on the track with?

You're not going to find many low budget 18x10.5" wheels out there. Is there a particular reason you want 18s for the DRs? Not that they don't work, but your tire and wheel options would be greater in 17", and they'd be better for performance too. You could get a 17x10" FN01R-C for pretty cheap - that's a light weight, cheap, good looking wheel.
