Im looking into getting some dr's or slicks for my 06' Z but im not sure what to get. they are going to be an extra set so im ONLY using them for the track. i want something that is going to just grab and go. so slipping no nothing... if i get enough power to the wheels i want them to lift the front of my car up. thats the kind of traction im talking about. ill buy some new rims if i have to (which i proabably will) and im guessing if slicks is the way to go im gunna want the fattest tire i could possibly fit but idk. any and all help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
I see you have a base model.
This set-up will work for you - 15 x 8 wheel with 5.5 back spacing. I run 275/60 Mickey's ET Street Radials but you could run a 275/45 also, I believe.

Also, I'm selling a used set for cheap $150 shipped.

well the thing is, i AM planning on going FI... im going to run a tuned vortech and try for like 400 to the wheels so i want something thats going to be good for when i get that also...
I put 417 lbs. of torque down on my used set with a 150 shot and they grip until you launch over 5500 rpm's. They have bogged a bit at 6000 when the track prep is perfect.
I have no idea what the new wheel/tires will do but a z with less power than me was cutting 1.71's with a very similar set-up.

For the rears, 16 x 8 welds or centerlines(if your big money) w/ a 5.5 back spacing. The tires depend on if you want it street-able.

Here's what you can expect with 400 hp and some BF DR's
If you are replacing your stock wheels on your stock rims I suggest DRs. If you're getting a second set of rims, I recommend cheater slicks. You can swap the rims at home and legally drive to the track on the cheater slicks, and they grip ALOT more then DRs. I managed a high 1.6 with a set of Mickey Thompson ET Streets and I'm just an average driver. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a set of sticky tires.

Alberto, you'd be in heaven at Bradenton! They don't check ****
They were letting civics run all day(mid 10 sec) without roll cages. I run 12 flats with no helmet and flip-flops on. The only thing I've been caught on was wearing a wife beater

Your going to want 15 or 16 x 8 depending on if you have Brembo's with a 5.5 back spacing. Jegs prices can't be beat.
